Hi Guys, one simple question.
I joined HSBC by 1st of Sept 2014 and I had done the manager year end review.
For the coming bonus by March, how much will I gt?
*
Usually 1st year joiners won't get bonus, sadly.

And if you do get bonus, it's either ranging from 1 ~ 1,5 months, pro-rated by the months you served.

Hi! Anyone here knows about the permanent position of HSBC global banking and markets? What are the job scopes for this position? Is it a data entry job? How is the working environment and how much is the pay? Thanks.
*
This is the million dollar question that was asked more than 100 times already.

Scroll back few pages and read.

Seniors already explained about the job very clearly d.

Why would HSBC runs background check on CTOS & CCRIS? It's understandable that if you're a criminal or a bankrupt that you can't get a job.

But I don't get why if you don't pay your phone bill or miss loan installment, you can't work at HSBC?

And it's just an entry-level job that pays really low. Isn't the HR department of HSBC is over exaggerating things?
*
Bcoz they are afraid when you default on your payments of loans and phone bills, you'll be desperate and sell their corporate information away.

I personally think it's stupid to run such stringent test on an entry level job since access will be restricted and all.

Furthermore, the turnover at HSBC is quite high, so whether they bother to run you through the Credit Agengy baffles me too.

So in other word, they don't want someone who is in need of fast cash or desperate for money due to financial issues to join them in order to prevent their company information sold. Well someone with clean background can always apply and sell their company information away secretly though.

Absurd.
*
I quote some seniors here which said :-

"One of the reason why people are not performing at work is because they are in debt and they can't focus on their work and etc. Apparently, according to some research, people who are in debt have tendency to not perform at work."

How HSBC can acquire such credit score by bank negara? I thought in banking business, credit score is can only be acquired by money institution for giving out loans.
*
Credit scores are managed by Credit Rating Agencies and the information is forwarded to Central Bank, if i am not mistaken.

So yea, just submit an application to CTOS to check, since HSBC is a financial institution itself, don't think it's too hard for them to get a report....

It is true that the promotion rates are fast there, provided that you are performing well?
Can someone validate this statement?

How much are they offering Fresh Graduate nowadays?
*
Last post in this forum stated its around 2,6k

And some senior did confirm if you can perform, you'll get promoted slightly faster.

But seeing how high the turnover is, if you survive there long enough, you would've make it anyways.

It seems that the hiring is always on-going.
Is it due to high turnover rate?

1-3 per month if you refer a few pages a while back.

Subscribe the CTOS need $, put the name and remove also cost $ . . Usually a very big sum only should put it up right? Yea i know CtOS affect job application.. but depend if the company do check on that..
*
When you are as rich as Maxis....

Does it matter if they throw your name into CTOS and ignore the cost?

I doubt they will even feel the pinch.

So yes, getting CTOS may not be good if you are applying for a job in a financial institute.

usually how long? its been a week now
also how is the training? which dept is the best?
*
Call the HR and ask.

If you don't hear back by 2 weeks to 1 month, please continue looking.

In fact, don't stop looking until you get a firm offer on the table for yourself.

but the hr said i got the job and i already filled all those forms after pass all interview

btw is it just me or hsbc cyber is really hot at the entrance nearby the computer english test
*
If you read few pages back, got people here got blacklisted by P1 despite the fact they did not subscribe to such services.

And my reply is what most seniors will tell you.

Never put 100% hope on any job until the letter of offer is on your table.

my advise as ex employee,

if you have no other choice, then go for it. they gave the lowest salary however you will learn a lot (note that you are willing to learn, if not will be same like others)
*
2.6k for a freshie.

Not bad la. Consider mid range liao.

QUOTE(ahwang12321 @ Mar 17 2015, 03:01 AM)
how long did u work there?
im lazy to do jobhunting and i cant find a job related to my field of study bcause most company wanted experience and i didnt get the job from some company and hsbc is the biggest company that accepted me out of all company i applied
the salary wasnt the best for degree fresh grad, but i think i can live with it for few months
*
Few months? If you want to put it on your resume, better to hold the job for at least 1 year la....

And you are working for back office, so don't worry too much. Mostly paperwork.

Not all are 2.6k. Some departments, they only offer 2.2k as the basic.
Agree that will really learn from there but in terms of pay, really low.
*
Yeah meh?

For degree holders, should be around 2,6k coz last time when I did no specify my salary, the interviewer put 2,5k ( she said it was the minimum salary option already )

Hi guys..

I went for the interview on 12 march (thu @ the hss klc & passed all the 3 stages on the same day. The hiring Manager told me that he'll pass my resume to his AM & I've to wait maybe for 2-3weeks after that.

Is that possible I'm getting hired at this point? It's been 2 weeks now but im not receiving any emails &call from hsbc yet.
The hiring mngr even gave me his phone no. Since i cant decide on what shift to work at that time.

I want to call him directly to ask bout my status for the job but then, i think it's quite inappropriate & he might feel annoying if im doing such thing.

Im desperately need a job now. Its been months i "tanam anggur" n still waiting n waiting...im getting bored rite now.

What do u guys think? :-(
*
If you are desperate, call him then.

End of story.

Hmmm....i think i should wait until this thursday..
If there's still no email or call from hsbc, I'll call him, definitely. It seems that few candidates had received offer letters based on prev threads.Wish i receive it too:)

I think im expecting too much from hsbc.haha.but im already tired to find a job (not giveup, just tired) & keep receiving calls for mgmt trainee (ofcourse i prefer on permanent post) from other companies.
*
Management trainees are permanent jobs no?

You get rotated around for 1-2 years and you'll land a job within the company after that period?

What's the big deal really? Hahahaha

Huhu...im not pretty sure if i able to land a job after training. Certain companies put a condition that they're not guarantee any placement for the trainees even u're perform very well. It happened to me diz b4. I had to rotate 6 depts within 6 months.

So thats y i prefer a job like gse. Doesnt matter if i've to work in shift hrs 😏
