Old tyre toyo NE3. Poor dry handling and worst wet handling.. even when new. Will never buy again.

Bough ATM2 RM179 per pcs for 185/55/16. Good dry handling in normal karak highway (no spirited driving) Good wet handling and excellence wet braking during heavy rain. Consider its price, this is even cheaper than CC6 which to me is very nice value. The same shop sell cc6 rm205.

Noise i cant notice any different.. silent enough for me.

And with Worry Free Assurance registered, at least i can drive with a peace of mind in this raining season

I kinda ask the shop in SS3 PJ. Same price With Tyre expert in Lazada just rounded up the cents. Direct buy more convinient. Just thinking should I even try Toyo TR1. tongue.gif

PTM don't have the size I want.

Thanks for the info.

Hi Guys. Yesterday I've changed to this tyre, Goodyear ATM 2. My previous tyre is Viking PT5 (2014)
* I've test speeding around 120kmh & i found out that this tyre is very stable, comfort & quiet. Wet performance not test because whenever in wet condition, i will slow down my car. Safety first, haha.
* My previous Viking PT5 is noisy even it's new but stable & in wet condition, the performance not so great.
* Plus, i found that the quietness of this tyre is i don't feel like i drove my car at 120kmh.
* All in all, it's new tyre. Hope it will do the job for a long term

*** Want to ask one question. My previous tyre & new tyre is same size, 195/55/15, 100% confirm.
* Is same size of tyre have slight different diameter or thick for different brand? Because i found that after change my tyre touch fender a bit when cornering, just sometimes. Hope u guys can answer this. Thanks

* FYI, my car just an old car, Proton Wira SE.

Just change 4xpc of 215/45R17 (Civic FB)
Civic's doesn't have a quiet cabin, hence quiet tyres always a top priority for me.
Previously from Stock PS3 > Primacy 3ST > Triplemax 2
can only compare on this 3, here's my thought

PS3(40K - 45K KM) is the best if you like to drive fast, very good cornering, high speed stability and stopping power for wet and dry, and also with hard sidewall.

Primacy 3ST(50K KM) it's more silent than PS3, but has a soft sidewall, braking and cornering is just above average, low rolling resistant.

Triplemax 2(new) surprisingly it's quieter than Primacy 3ST, even above 100KMH it's still don't have noticable tyre noise, quite stable during high speed, not as good as PS3 but very close. During fast Cornering I can hear the tyre squeaking, and it holds that quite well. Price also much cheaper compare to michellin.

Conclusion, If let me choose again within the 3 tyres, I'll go for Triplemax 2 > PS3 > Primacy 3ST

it's a very useful feedback. I plan to change tyre soon and keep survey tyres, in this case, i will be choosing this ATM2 rather than XM2+ or UC6 or ES32 for 185/55R16.
I drive about 120 to 150kmh at highway and my current GY Excellence is quite unstable at high speed 140+kmh, looking for high speed stable, good wet grip stopping and low noise tyre.

Some users here mentioned its not as float as XM2 for >140kmh and another one said it’s stable as well.
If you able to try 150kmh and above, please share with us the stability and noise level.

Today try on wet, no aquaplaning when drive through puddle around 70kmh, wet cornering not as good as michellin, but wet braking is good. And have to say it again, it's so quiet.. Hope u guys enjoy after changing it.. I'll share again after few months.. Cheers

Hi sifus,

I’m planning to change to ATM2 from CC5 on Almera. It comes with 185/65/r15. Can I change it to 195/55/r15? What are the pros n con? Thanks!

Congratulations! i did the same on my Almera too. but i went with 195/60/r15. the diameter almost same with the stock profile

the grip will be better and you feel safe when driving on wet roads. since you going with a smaller diameter... Just be careful, your car will be lower. so drive slower over bumps. Possibly the lower profile tires/harder wall will only slightly affect your comfort, but improve on handling. Your suspension will work slightly harder. No big deal really. the speed on the odometer i think will be off GPS will show slower than the meter in the car.

most obvious is your CAR will look BIG and your Tires will look SMALL. tongue.gif

RM140 a piece which includes all the bal and align job. Looking forward to change the rear tyres soon.

Bought mine middle of June. 195/50/16. Have been driving for about 2,000KM edi and the tyres are great! Damn quiet, but the sidewalls a bit lembik. Spirited cornering feels floaty. Grip on dry and wet damn good for the price, in my opinion. biggrin.gif

Purchased from Hup Shun Tyres SS3. RM230 per donut.

Based on the pricing of ATM2 at 195/55 R15, is the V12 Evo2 still worth getting than this?
