QUOTE(rudolfjie @ Jun 20 2019, 04:41 PM) Just change 4xpc of 215/45R17 (Civic FB) Certainly useful. I have shared my experience before on the Goodyear Assurance Fuelmax which is the predecessor of the Triplemax several years ago on this forum. They used to be the stock tyres on my Ford Focus. After the tyres were worn out, I changed to Yokohama Bluearth AE50. In terms of quietness they are quite similar but in terms of performance in handling and cornering both dry and wet, the Goodyear Assurance is better. Sharper and more precise steering feel with the Goodyear and more stable during cornering. With the Yokohama, steering feels slightly less sharp and responsive, and during cornering the car is more wobbly likely due to the softer side walls. Civic's doesn't have a quiet cabin, hence quiet tyres always a top priority for me. Previously from Stock PS3 > Primacy 3ST > Triplemax 2 can only compare on this 3, here's my thought PS3(40K - 45K KM) is the best if you like to drive fast, very good cornering, high speed stability and stopping power for wet and dry, and also with hard sidewall. Primacy 3ST(50K KM) it's more silent than PS3, but has a soft sidewall, braking and cornering is just above average, low rolling resistant. Triplemax 2(new) surprisingly it's quieter than Primacy 3ST, even above 100KMH it's still don't have noticable tyre noise, quite stable during high speed, not as good as PS3 but very close. During fast Cornering I can hear the tyre squeaking, and it holds that quite well. Price also much cheaper compare to michellin. Conclusion, If let me choose again within the 3 tyres, I'll go for Triplemax 2 > PS3 > Primacy 3ST The TripleMax 2 should be an improvement over the Triplemax 1 and the older Fuelmax so i would expect the tyres to be even better in performance. I want to get back to the old performance of the Fuelmax after trying the Yokohama. The Goodyear is overall a better tyre to me. Good to hear the Triplemax 2 is not outclassed even when compared to PS3 and 3ST. It must be a winner then. |

Just got a quotation from a tyre shop.
RM310 for 205 60R16. Apparently not many shops carry Goodyear and this odd size so I had to go to the Goodyear Malaysia website to find out the outlets that carry Goodyear. Called a Goodyear tyre shop and they didn't have the size that I wanted so they had to pre-order. |

QUOTE(mrbs84 @ Jul 9 2019, 02:41 PM) Almost 9 month using ATM2 (90k+ km), overall quite ok compared to XM2, not so noisy and still good in braking. Wow with that kind of milage! yeah why not XM2+ they say can go waaay longer distances and not lose grip. perhaps can change tire per year instead of 9mths ![]() Thinking changing to the new XM2+ next month, trying new model 🤠|
