Old tyre toyo NE3. Poor dry handling and worst wet handling.. even when new. Will never buy again.

Bough ATM2 RM179 per pcs for 185/55/16. Good dry handling in normal karak highway (no spirited driving) Good wet handling and excellence wet braking during heavy rain. Consider its price, this is even cheaper than CC6 which to me is very nice value. The same shop sell cc6 rm205.

Noise i cant notice any different.. silent enough for me.

And with Worry Free Assurance registered, at least i can drive with a peace of mind in this raining season

As I know, Goodyear tyres tend to have harder sidewall, means feel harsher when the road is not evenly flat. I know harder sidewall means better handling feel, e.g Goodyear Excellence 185/55/R16. But does your ATM2 has this kind of harshness? Or does it feel more comfortable ?

I cant notice any different in harshness and comfort between my previous tyre (CPC2 and NE3). Feel just normal as of now
*
do you mean you don't feel any differences in comfort/hardness between ATM2 vs CPC2 and NE3 ?

So far, how is the noise level and grip performance after drive more KM as of now compare ATM2 to CPC2 and NE3

Same like me.. were using XM2 for the past 1year n 9months, had clocked in 84k km. Eventhou still have thread in it (rotation every 10k km) but decided to change.

P1 was also on my mind but like u said, it’s too hard to find, and not much review.

Then, UC6 also on my list. But the mechanic don’t recommend it. Instead, he asked me to take atm2. Since I don’t want to go back XM2, so decided to give it a try.

One thing notable, it is not as floaty as XM2 when during high speed cruising (>140kph). Noise level more or less the same with XM2 when new.

Never try in wet condition yet coz just fittted 2 days ago. Haha.

What was your original stock tyre came from ? Goodyear Excellence or Continental Premium Contact 2 ?
How does the ATM2 compared to your original stock tyre in terms of ride hardness and float feel ?

Original was GY Excellence (but it excellent at all😅). Can’t rmb if compare to GY Excellence coz I was on XM2 before I change to this ATM2. But GY excellence is quite a noisy tyre. I would say ATM2 is not as float as XM2 la. Quite stable when during high speed cruising.

thanks for your response.

hahaha. GY Excellence is very noisy after few thousands KM.
I found the ride is quite rough and choppy at highway speed or faster as it has hard sidewall compared to CPC2 or D05. I'm not sure about ATM2 but XM2 is quite soft sidewall as well.

Just change 4xpc of 215/45R17 (Civic FB)
Civic's doesn't have a quiet cabin, hence quiet tyres always a top priority for me.
Previously from Stock PS3 > Primacy 3ST > Triplemax 2
can only compare on this 3, here's my thought

PS3(40K - 45K KM) is the best if you like to drive fast, very good cornering, high speed stability and stopping power for wet and dry, and also with hard sidewall.

Primacy 3ST(50K KM) it's more silent than PS3, but has a soft sidewall, braking and cornering is just above average, low rolling resistant.

Triplemax 2(new) surprisingly it's quieter than Primacy 3ST, even above 100KMH it's still don't have noticable tyre noise, quite stable during high speed, not as good as PS3 but very close. During fast Cornering I can hear the tyre squeaking, and it holds that quite well. Price also much cheaper compare to michellin.

Conclusion, If let me choose again within the 3 tyres, I'll go for Triplemax 2 > PS3 > Primacy 3ST

it's a very useful feedback. I plan to change tyre soon and keep survey tyres, in this case, i will be choosing this ATM2 rather than XM2+ or UC6 or ES32 for 185/55R16.
I drive about 120 to 150kmh at highway and my current GY Excellence is quite unstable at high speed 140+kmh, looking for high speed stable, good wet grip stopping and low noise tyre.

Mine haven't pass 150kmh mark just yet.. But i can tell during 120kmh, its still acceptional good
All i can say is it wont fail u at low noise expectations
*
Some users here mentioned its not as float as XM2 for >140kmh and another one said it’s stable as well.
If you able to try 150kmh and above, please share with us the stability and noise level.

Changed from Goodyear Exellence to Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2, 185/55/16.
Drove about 1 week, felt that ATM2 has softer sidewall and quieter ride especially going thru the potholes compared to Excellence when it was new.
The ride is so much better with lesser vibration.
But the steering feel is lesser responsive compare to Excellence but acceptable for me.
The ride is slightly quieter than excellence when its new.
I still haven't try it during raining time or whack the tyre at the corner yet, so I can't comment much as of now.

If compare between new ATM2 and new XM2 (without +), the noise level on certain tarmac is quieter but on certain tarmac is slightly noiser. So its more or less the same.

Didn't feel regret to buy this ATM2 over XM2+.

How much per piece?
*
It’s RM190 per piece for 4 pieces including balancing and alignment. Changed at Silicon Pandan Indah. They gave me nitrogen filled and told me it’s lifetime that I can refill anytime at their shop without any charges, but I’m not interested on the nitrogen refill.

1 thing be careful is that the Saleman at this workshop told me that my brake pad is too thin and need to change it but I insist don’t want to change. After that, I brought my car to another trustable mechanic and he told both side brake pads still quite thick, he told this type of brake system, the brake pad is design to be thinner than old days brake pad design. So I didn’t change the brake pad.

I am choosing btw ATM 2 and Dunlop D05.
Both have similar price. ATM 2 is much more recent product lauched in end of 2018. D05 was back in 2015.

Anyone can comment between these 2 model?
*
Im using D05 on my another car, 1 thing is that, D05 is wear off quite fast. I can’t compare the grip as both cars are different & I drive slower on the D05 compared to ATM2.
