It's seriously quietly launched. I really like my current GY ATM 1. 50k km milage now. Threads still got, I think can last 100k km. Just the noise start to come out due to hardening. Raining quite bad these days the tires still can hold, just not as good as new. I really appreciate if you can leave a review on the wet performance

PTM don't have the size I want.

Hi sifus,

I’m planning to change to ATM2 from CC5 on Almera. It comes with 185/65/r15. Can I change it to 195/55/r15? What are the pros n con? Thanks!
*
Congratulations! i did the same on my Almera too. but i went with 195/60/r15. the diameter almost same with the stock profile

the grip will be better and you feel safe when driving on wet roads. since you going with a smaller diameter... Just be careful, your car will be lower. so drive slower over bumps. Possibly the lower profile tires/harder wall will only slightly affect your comfort, but improve on handling. Your suspension will work slightly harder. No big deal really. the speed on the odometer i think will be off GPS will show slower than the meter in the car.

most obvious is your CAR will look BIG and your Tires will look SMALL. tongue.gif

Almost 9 month using ATM2 (90k+ km), overall quite ok compared to XM2, not so noisy and still good in braking.

Thinking changing to the new XM2+ next month, trying new model 🤭

Wow with that kind of milage! yeah why not XM2+ they say can go waaay longer distances and not lose grip. perhaps can change tire per year instead of 9mths sweat.gif

XM2 is good if u want longer mileage . not really sure how it perform in raining day .. still prefer Assurance Triplemax 2
*
Yeah I don't have such high mileage. 3yrs is my limit. I didn't even reach the minimum mark before i changed my ATM1 to ATM2. My ATM1 i used for 60k km.

60k ? wow... i changed after using for less than 40k km...about 2yrs using it

first year it really wear fast. but after that it hardens and it wears off very slow. you rotate the tires and it take even longer to wear off.

My DOT:2319 tire finally replaced. Almost reach the minimum mark. Only managed 42k KM. Maybe it was at the front all the time. Bought on June 2019, replaced on Sept 2021. Honestly it was very noisy after 10k km. The rears are still GY ATM2, still plenty of threds.

The front i have replaced with Pirelli cinturato p6. Not bad. Grip quite well in wet and silent for now. Still new. Bought at Lazada. 2019 tires, so they are very cheap RM168 for 185/65/r15

You drive like aunty or usually drive in a spirited way?
*
I usually drive spirited. No reason to drive slow when the car can move. I dont cucuk or brake hard though, cause my car have soft brakes. Honestly with the same driving style, My GY ATM1 lasted 60k KM and that also the threads was more. i miss the GY ATM1

how's the ATM2 compare to ATM1?
as currently using ATM1
*
i have moved on to other brands. Unfortunately, no1 issue is its noisier than ATM1. after 10,000km you should start hearing the road noise. Dont know for what reason my 2019 tires lasted 3 years only, i didnt rotate the tires. at the front only, it lasted 35k KM. 1-2mm more it will touch the minimum mark, rain not that safe anymore. Overall it is one of the more affordable branded tires that have good wet grip. I rather use back ATM1 if you still can find it.

ATM2 still have good grip in dry and wet, cheaper than conti & mich. Overall good tires just noisy after a while.

I have moved on to try Pirelli Cinturato P6. (on sale in LAZADA at the time i bought it) Supposed to be touring tires (allegedly more comfort and highway/mileage use) So far 3000km it is quiet. I also drop back to 185/65/r15 size (old one was 195/60/r15) so rolling resistance lower, looks like saving fuel as well, i dont tekan the pedal so much now (less surface area, less resistance, car move easier). easier to cruise, less sticky to the road. In Rain it performed well. If you cant get this, Mich XM2+ i think is great too. Both similar in performance; great in wet, quiet, for high mileage.
