Thanks, I've actually went to TM point last month (I also had an online chat, emailed and got a call from them too).  Unfortunately, there's no 100mbps coverage for my building either.  Yes, I think we have TIME here but is it good?  Honestly, TM should've just reduced the price for those who are not eligible for the Turbo upgrade.

The guy in chat wasn't helpful at all, when I asked about him about the upgrade and coverage, all he did was copy and pasted info for me to read.  He also asked me to wait till next year to see if I'll get the upgrade.

Oh yeah, don't bother emailing TM.  Their site says they'll get back to you in a jiffy but I only received a reply from them two weeks later.

on my note 9 in room which 1 wall penetrate with around 7~9meters only 1 bar signal
MSI GS65 with connection around 55~250Mbps

Office C1200 5G
on my note 9 penetrate 3shop wall with around 20meters far still received 1 bar signal
MSI GS65 getting 100Mbps~500Mbps, to be noted there at least 15~20 wifi device within office.

so c1200 surely better than 850L from my current experience.

Extra: with Archer T9UH i maintain full speed 867Mbps on my house Desktop connecting 850l even it shown 4Bar power on network setting.

Wireless signal strength wise, C1200 is better (if you flash EU firmware, there is beamforming option available)
Router stability wise, 850L and 842 win.

I went to TM point and got my downgrade to the RM99 for 50 Mbps package. This does not include any free calls and comes with the set top box with no TV packages.

It is essentially an internet only package.

I had to argue like hell to get it. They feigned knowledge of its existence initially and made some calls to supposed "superiors" They wanted me to pay RM 129 for 50 Mbps which is silly when the 100 Mbps package costs the same.

While I kind of feel left out as I really wanted to be Turbo'd and didn't mind continuing to pay RM 179 for 500 Mbps if Turbo'd, I realise it's probably not going to happen as I am in an apartment. even though I did "Submit" for consideration under the Turbo status. I see from recent comments that some folk got Turbo'd pretty quickly after submitting but am unsure if it's because they are in landed property or apartments with fibre cabling already built in.

At least I get to save RM 80 a month.

Hopefully, TM is more transparent with what they are going to do moving forward as I could have saved the RM 80 per month for the last 4 months rather than just waiting to get Turbo'd which was never going to come anyway.

I use both. DIR-850L has much weaker Wifi range, hence their bad reputation. Therefore I use 2 of them to cover first floor. C1200 is only used as router, Wifi disabled. My C1200 is stable without any problem.

Hi guys, have a question, im moving to a new place today and the technician is coming over after lunch. The front desk guy ask me to bring the unifi devices to the new place but i can't seem to remove the black wore connecting the black device to the fiber port. Any advice on how best to remove it?

It seems like TM is shortchanging us with this 800mbps Turbo upgrade. This is bullshit if we are only getting this 800mbps turbo speed ONLY with TM server but limited to 500+mbps elsewhere. Anyone managed to hit 800+mbps with non-TM server speedtests?

anyone here got upgraded from VIP10 to unifi 100Mbps (Turbo Upgrade 2018) ?

i got conflicted answers from unifi regarding billing and plan. during VIP10 - paying about RM160. when i asked a rep a few weeks ago, the price will not change even after upgrade. but today, a rep told me that they will prorate from when the upgrade kicked in, so that the coming months' bill will be RM129. coincidentally, another rep called and kept pushing to change plan to unifi lite 100Mbps but why?...

i'm RM149 , still under VIP 10 , not yet turbo , the unifi page mention eligible, and expected to be turbo Oct-Dec 2018...but now still nothing....
By the way, i did live chat with CS last month, after turbo , all thing remain same as VIP 10 , just that the speed upgrade from 10 to 100mbps only.

That mean, bill still RM149 , basic hypptv plan, call land line foc , call mobile RM0.20 / min, equipment old.
if like that i better cut off the existing line, re-apply 100mbps , beside monthly fee RM129 , new equipment, 600 min foc call for land/mobile (only bad thing is hypptv device no longer works for new package unless subscribe ultimate pack)
I do ask them what about downgrade to the RM129 plan ? they say can, but need to tie 2 year contract, everything follow the RM129 package EXCEPT , equipment still using the old one , Hypptv device can continue use.....
Still....i think cut off and re-apply is more worth.

unifi lite 100mbps - RM 129 discount RM10 = RM 119
unifi TV  - RM 30.
So total RM 149.
Before turbo'ed, its like this :-
unifi VIP10 - RM 199 disc RM 50 = RM 149.

Anyway I'm asking because maybe somebody encounter this before or understand more compare to me on what is TM is doing..

Yes ..it's come with 600min free talk and it was a VIP5 and upgraded to 10mbps few yrs ago...

I have surface pro 5 and my router is AC1200 by TM with 2 antennas not 3. I have been upgraded to 500mbps, but I don't seems to be able to get the speed promised. The problem arise from my tablet or the router itself?
