How far can a 3800 X2 windsy go...? (using stock heatsink)
*
at default vcore it normally can go up to 2.3ghz...

try pump up more vcore and watch out for the tmp if u using a stick HSF...

i manage to OC my Windsor 3800+ at stock HSF before till 2.5ghz at 1.4v

the temp kinda high at idle 45c

so try pump vcore and if can get a good HSF...

TTBTVX i recommended.....

wow.. urs is F3 stepping la bro... a lot of people says that F3 is good for OC... try to go higher..
in the bios set the vcore to 1.48v and set the HTT to 231... set the vdimm to at least 1.95v to 2.2v (if ur using the D9GMH chips) and try to boot up.. the clock should be 3003mhz... set the memory divider to 800 and try to boot it up...prime and then try to make the clock higher...
*
nice chip u got there...
it is a waste to not to try it to the max....

lower all ur RAM divider and test ur proc...

lets see how max it can go... hmm.gif

I might get it from china as we couldn't get it from local market.
But the postage is expensive so i'm looking for people that has same interest so that we can sub-divide the postage fee.
Everything is still in planning stage and the plan might not work , so don't highly hope for it 1st.

like AoiNatsume said....it is right....

suppose if not OC ur GC...the temp of it hard to increase....unless the air ventilation in ur casing not good..and heat from the proc & the chipset in the casing mixed up with the GC and increase the temp...

With a BIOS update, I no longer have any cold boot issue at 2.4GHz (running at 2.42GHz 242HTT now). Even a single 1HTT increase it will lockup in Prime95 (but games are fine). And it refuses to boot at 2.45GHz, any voltage, any RAM timing. I guess that's the limit of my processor
*
what is the current vcore are u using now???

what HSF??

sure cannot pass 2.45Ghz?
