bro sempronic....take a look at my signature....
I am using Abit...before dfi...

well what can i say..........abit crap laa tongue.gif

Lanparty is out of budget bro.........but there is nothing wrong also with Ultra2-m2..it is same faster except with diff features.....and im sure Nf4 Ultra is much more matured then nforce5??

hehe dunno..........
*
nice word there "crap" !!!! doh.gif doh.gif

and im also using the same mobo manufacture....
and i will never use that word to discribe PC component.... shakehead.gif hmm.gif
the thing is...it is not the hardware crap..... hmm.gif
its all depends on the skills on how the user OC their system.... icon_idea.gif

powerslide also use KN9 Ultra and superbly OC his brisbane to 3.0ghz...

and not to mention....my ABIT can tag along with my proc and take my proc all away to 3Ghz on air cooling and my proc is not brisbane...it is old windsor....
so it think ABIT is not a crap mobo.... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Yea, Brisbane cannot compete with Windsor clock per clock.
The nice thing as u said, the temperature really low and i agree with you.
Windsor are a lot lot more hot than Brisby smile.gif

-pWs-
*
yeah...
each of them have the advantage & disadvantages....
windsor = performance
brisbane = cool

me still using windsor...

no need to go for brisbane.unless u manage to oc 3600+ brisbane to 4.0ghz, that's would be better than ur current proc.. smile.gif

really ar?? tongue.gif
if can go pass 3.4ghz then im impress ar...
heheh....highest my proc can go is 3ghz....
just once can boot at 3.1ghz....

forgot to mention bout my rig (mobo = Biostar TA690, =RAM Patriot PC6400 but tried @940Mhz o.k) , PSU=cooler master 430W. Might try pushing it higher but want to stress the cpu more to check stability . One thing was after 2500Mhz had to reduce Ram speed from DDR800 to DDR533 or else could not boot. Tried increasing DDR volt but unable to post. Last time had weird problem when cpu multi was at 10.5x .
*
what that wierd problem???

try to use the lowest divider that u can set and OC the proc to max to know it ability....

higher vcore that can set for brisby?

~xixo_12~
icon_rolleyes.gif

dont know ar...
it depends on ur proc...
need to try and check for error....

what i hear the hifgest Vcore for brisby to get 3.0ghz is 1.4v something....
there also higher vcore needed...

so it depends....

Tested my 4000+ stable until 2900 Mhz with stock Hsf..  3000Mhz is unstable despite upping the vcore... dunno is it due to not burn-in enuf ????  Will experiment with some dram settings....
*
best way is to adjust the RAM setting 1st....
use the lowest ram setting...
see how far the proc can go.... nod.gif

AM2 does not have FSB
AM2's performance solely rely on clockspeed because the memory controller runs at the same speed as the cpu.
High 'fsb' is pretty much useless.
*
QUOTE(xixo_12 @ Sep 17 2007, 12:46 PM)
useless?? so try to use high multiplier.. am i rite??
*
yup....soulfly is right....
the FSB not give any performance different..
just oc it high as possible for the CPU clock..
the higher & stable...the better....

err........isnt dblooi already talked about his F3 proc many moon ago?
even got screenshot and other stuff too..

but for your info,im searching high and low for f3 proc.for roughly 1month.
Change proc thrice bcoz of frustrated hehehe

F3 doesnt available in Malaysia for low end model...CZbox right now that have F3 proc is above 5200+
*
is he already discuss it?
maybe i missed it already coz seldom online now days coz bz of work...

QUOTE(dblooi @ Sep 20 2007, 11:45 AM)
u mean cpu multiplier? It's something like CPU VID control in bios if not mistaken.
F3 windsor= CZ . that's for sure.
however, CZ is not godlike, some CZs not good also.
But no matter how bad it is, i think shouldn't be a problem to hit 3GHz
I've bought it in all IT hypermarket, LYP.
There are alot of 5200CZ in LYP when i went there last time,
i just choose 1 of them which i think should be the best stepping available.
My 5200cz not a really good stepping 1, stop at 3.35GHz.
i pumped 1.68vcore in order to get it.
i use water cooling laugh.gif
*
1.68v for 3.3ghz ar??
thought just around 1.5v or max 1.6v...
errmm..not a good stepping though....
what i want a proc that can OC more then 3.5ghz..
then it can be call superb....

QUOTE(tachlio @ Sep 20 2007, 11:57 AM)
1.68vcore  shocking.gif

although not godlike but still double kill~  thumbup.gif
*
for windsor it is normal...
and the performance is difference from brisby...

thats y i ought to try my luck with x8.5...but still the stable one would be x8..last time try at 2.84Ghz..running orthos 6 hours no prob...
