Ermm...if that the case, i think the ram is having problem.

Now that i purchased brisbane 4000+ .. MY mobo still can't get over 265HTT when use 533ram divider..
USe x11 multiplier also can't.. When get into desktop.. Check on CPU-z.. it become x10 but in bios it's still x11..
How to get 3.0Ghz like that? Zzzzz...
Is changing mobo is the only solution?

Btw, why I don't have 9.5 or 10.5 multiplier?

I own a piece of Abit AN52S mainboard, CPu is AMD X2 4000+ AM2, 2X1GB Kingston 667Mhz DDR2, 8600GT GC...etc.
The HTT can't go above 225Mhz no matter how i lower the multiplier to 4 or below, add HTT, CPU, RAM, sourthbridge voltage...i also loosen the default timing of RAM 5-5-5-17-1T to 5-6-6-20-2T, useless....

Here i throw my question...Is it the OC capability is limited by chipset or just the poor mainboard overclockability? because i know X2 4000+ can jump to 2.8-3Ghz without problem...have anybody using this board to OC? if yes, then how much u can go? pls state the setting in ur BIOS too...thanks   [attachmentid=311087]

Which is better in performance (overclocking) -:

1) AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ F3 Windsor

2) AMD 3600+ X2 Brisbane

3) AMD 5600+ X2 Windsor

Im not really sure what to get...

Ya sifoo...im thinking of getting 5600+ or 6000+,i really2 wanna try 3.0 ghz..

if im given the budget to get 6000+, id rather switch to intel. To me, basically budget for proc is below RM400, id go for amd. If above RM400, intel.

Im not a fanboy of either intel nor amd. Just a regular user which seeks whats best for the money.

True enough AMD are more fun to overclock and has more tweaks over its counterpart, not to mention the performance it gives for its price its definately a bang.

Then again, lets say ive got a budget of RM5xx. AMD 6000+ right now cost RM555 and at the approx equivalent price of it is the E6550. Lets take both of this proc and overclock them, im sure u guys already know the winner here. And its a win by quite a considerably big margin.

Its always good to try other stuff for a change instead of sticking to 1 brand. Thats the best way to gain understanding of it rather than just reading reviews and listening to what people say.
