mobo ar??what make u think like that?? hmm.gif
not yet try to other PC...
and now the RAM is cant do dual channel....
use just single ram can...then adjust the setting to OC the Proc and use 533 divider it cant boot...
keep "beeping"....

then change to value RAM....it can boot with the setting that i save using the crucial ram...
what the hell?? shakehead.gif

Now that i purchased brisbane 4000+ .. MY mobo still can't get over 265HTT when use 533ram divider..
USe x11 multiplier also can't.. When get into desktop.. Check on CPU-z.. it become x10 but in bios it's still x11..
How to get 3.0Ghz like that? Zzzzz...
Is changing mobo is the only solution?
*
Again..what mobo,RAM & PSU?

already update ur bios?

Btw, why I don't have 9.5 or 10.5 multiplier?

why not update ur bios first???

and try to set to the lowest divider as u can as u want to test ur proc maximum capabilities....

I own a piece of Abit AN52S mainboard, CPu is AMD X2 4000+ AM2, 2X1GB Kingston 667Mhz DDR2, 8600GT GC...etc.
The HTT can't go above 225Mhz no matter how i lower the multiplier to 4 or below, add HTT, CPU, RAM, sourthbridge voltage...i also loosen the default timing of RAM 5-5-5-17-1T to 5-6-6-20-2T, useless....

Here i throw my question...Is it the OC capability is limited by chipset or just the poor mainboard overclockability? because i know X2 4000+ can jump to 2.8-3Ghz without problem...have anybody using this board to OC? if yes, then how much u can go? pls state the setting in ur BIOS too...thanks smile.gif  smile.gif[attachmentid=311087]
*
the mobo that u are using nearly same as mine...

just mine just diffrent chipset and SLi....

try update ur bios....

loose the RAM to 5-5-5-18-2T....and lower the divider untill ur RAM run at the default speed again...

Which is better in performance (overclocking) -:

1) AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ F3 Windsor

2) AMD 3600+ X2 Brisbane

3) AMD 5600+ X2 Windsor

Im not really sure what to get... hmm.gif
*
1st...Windsor is better then Brishbane....and if u can get Windsor F3 it is superb then any other AM2 proc coz it can OC more.... thumbup.gif

PS : pws....need to download one by one than burn in a disc?

To bro sempronic :

Is my proc as same as yours..?

Its just that,your proc can go 3.0ghz,but mine can only go to 2.4-2.5  sweat.gif  icon_question.gif  cry.gif  sad.gif

Do you think i should change a proc..?
*
change when u need to OC more...if u want to feel 3ghz..can try get brisbane coz it is easy to reach that speed..but do not forget that brisbane cant compare to windsor speed when head to head same speed...windsor more fast...

how can i say either it is the same or not by just looking of the CPUz??heheh tongue.gif

my proc detail is

Thats really true bro.. sweat.gif

I can only manage to clock until 2.5 sweat.gif

If i go further to 2.6 - 2.7 then i CANT load windows..  mad.gif

Ya sifoo...im thinking of getting 5600+ or 6000+,i really2 wanna try 3.0 ghz.. sweat.gif
*
already try lower the diver lowest as u can?
and then puch the proc to the limit...
dont go for the high end & expensive...find a good proc then clock till it can reah a espensive proc clock...

if still cant...grab my Windsor F2....i use it 2.7ghz or2.8ghz daily no prob... brows.gif brows.gif

QUOTE(AoiNatsume @ Oct 16 2007, 03:59 AM)
if im given the budget to get 6000+, id rather switch to intel. To me, basically budget for proc is below RM400, id go for amd. If above RM400, intel.
*
i will not go for intel...im am AMD fan for a long2 time ago...before i dont know how to OC up till now..
AMD is the best proc ever...more advanture to OC it then Intel...IMO icon_rolleyes.gif

AMD = value + performance + OC able = save $$$$ nod.gif

all my life i will suport AMD...thats why im in this "AMD(R) Socket-AM2 Overclocking" thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Im not a fanboy of either intel nor amd. Just a regular user which seeks whats best for the money.

True enough AMD are more fun to overclock and has more tweaks over its counterpart, not to mention the performance it gives for its price its definately a bang.

Then again, lets say ive got a budget of RM5xx. AMD 6000+ right now cost RM555 and at the approx equivalent price of it is the E6550. Lets take both of this proc and overclock them, im sure u guys already know the winner here. And its a win by quite a considerably big margin.

Its always good to try other stuff for a change instead of sticking to 1 brand. Thats the best way to gain understanding of it rather than just reading reviews and listening to what people say.
*
either the price is the same...
and yes...we all here know that Intel is now have the biggest advantages then AMD...
but still...we choose AMD...to gain understanding is good...and not to mention to OC an Intel is easier then AMD..muich2 more easier..and all intel proc is OC able...like AMD...we need to hunt for a good one, burn it in and many more to make it reach the max....notthat make the fun thing for it...

QUOTE(CV6149 @ Oct 16 2007, 11:08 AM)
sempronic,
you said you need to change ur psu...is there any reason why ??
coz it might be the same case as me also..
urs is fsp 500w..shud be enuff ...no?
*
it should be enough...just my thinking...not my final conclusion...
already thnking a long time ago to upgrade my psu....no money ar...
if someone grab my psu & proc can ar...
