Foreign currency FD then can consider, as diversify low risk investment.

And when you read news got people jump from 14th floor, then can unload (portion) low risk investment into medium or high risk liao.

USD also drop (against MYR) till 3.0~3.3 at one point.

Seems too diversified. If you got any 'dong gua tau fu', I doubt anyone can help you manage it properly.

You must be invested at least 50k there, and this year drop 10% to 20% on those popular equity funds so far.

It was too diversified in terms of platforms involved. Too much logins, if one day you unable to manage them due to whatever reasons, your spouse or family got a learning curve to control those platforms.

Not to forget the tedious process if last will / nomination form coming in.

Gold in terms of USD doesn't move much.

Well, annualised 8% return is very possible. Especially we got big drop in 2008, 9 years ago from now is 2009, which is bullish till now. When did you know about this, because this year drop 10% to 20% for most mutual funds.

Uncle, some good funds can have annualized return of 15%+ over 10 years, 5k become 20k in 10 years.

I suspect it was due to quota. ASM is having very little bumi subscription, so they might want to wait its ratio reached 30% before release to non-bumi.
Or could be entirely other reason.

To validate my hypothesis, ask any of your bumi friends try top up RM 100 ASM online. Then we would know. I could be wrong anyway, just giving opinion or possible reason.
