equity 5 is forward pricing. u buy Saturday, bursa close, no NAV. no NAV hence unable to calculate ISC also. I think they will be able to allocate your units only today. maybe try to register later in the evening or tomorrow.

cooling off period is not related to this. the cooling off period means you are allowed to withdraw (i.e. cancel buying) and get back FULL AMOUNT including the ISC. after cooling off period is over, you can only withdraw whatever total units you received (minus ISC).

hope this clarifies.
*
And that is the difference between historical pricing and forward pricing unit trust products, the former is of course unique to pnb funds

Previous all VP are historical. Or they change all vp?

Anybody here have experience with ASB3?  I am thinking of suggesting to my family member to deposit >RM200,000 from his Current Account to ASB3.  ASB1/ASB2 already max.

Is is possible to transfer to ASB3 bulk sum or is there some sort of fund size limit that needs to wait for opening?
*
i think that's a good move. asb3 definitely give more than any current account can give and have same liquidity as current account if you need to use it.

yes unker. it's a pity they don't need to raise cash from ASMx to build this building.
*
if i understand your statement correctly, it's actually good that they dont need asx funds to build it. that is our money as investor so pnb use their own money and not from their unit trust funds. worse has happen before, th use depositor money/proceed to buy trx.

from what i read, building almost fully occupied already. current hq already 30+ floors d then got hotel take another 30 or so floors so more than half already. if corporate chasing "address" take up the rest and asx funds get rental returns, should be good/consistent yield

hopefully lah ye....

ps: i like old building more because more accessible and got both lrt and mrt there. whenever i go that area i never need to bother and drive

Opinion guys.

PNB involved in bettersea London.

Most expensive trx
*
as an investor, nothing to worry about. just like their new hq, these are pnb funds and not money from what ppl like you and me invest in the vp/fp.

ppl will say, why waste money, better give higher divvy then build buildings. well, divvy u get is from unit trust. this is not tabung haji where profit almost like pyramid scam already. again, the building is not using investor money. stock market good everyone happy. stock market bungkus like the past 5 years, pray lucky got reserves to give out return higher than FD.

proprietary fund is diff from investor fund. lucky pnb under sc if not sure become the next tabung haji/felda/etc2..

investment wise? uk project gives exposure to currency stronger than malaysian shringgit. like the new hq, a lot of units has already been taken up so hopefully good rental yield. if these building become reit and funds buy into them, win-win for all.

my 2 cents only lah, dont angry yaa

If investors show they are ok with this sub 6% dividend, the fund managers may get complacent and not work as hard in future. This must not become the new norm. Must always push them for better performance.
*
i don't think that's as simple as it sounds. you press how hard also a standard kancil cannot go above 160km/h wan.

in this case, klci is the kancil. last 5 years been very bad for klci. i think only 1 year out of that 5 market had positive return. taking things as it is, how PNB can pay 5.5 when klci is in red is a wonder for me.

i believe its a combo of fixed income (like mgs)+dividend from equity+reserves to reach 5.5 so i don't think they're complacent. when things are bad and you beat benchmark, that almost miracle d

*
definitely no knowledge. most malaysian take things for granted and thinks money drop from sky and grow from pokok.

Anyway, back in 2017 my colleague is doing good in share market > 10% return, and I was tempted and start to observe the market. What I can tell you is that share market is very volatile and the share price is easily affected by news and speculation, easy to be controlled by big fish and when you are just small fish it is very risky to invest unless is blue chip. Lots of people in the share market is not because they want to long term invest, but they want to curi peluang to get fast money, buy fast sell fast. My heart is not strong so I didn't step in, but luckily also because in 2018 he got burned and until now he hasnt break even yet and he also started buying amanah, lol.

Good thing about amanah is, even though the share market is like shyt last year, we still get positive return and not negative. Share market will not every year shine but at least we still can get back more than we put in.

*
if only malaysians can think like this, no more stupid/ignorant comment in pnb/epf/etc2 website/social media. this type of thinking only get when ppl understand what investing is all about and the risk or return concept.

how long before boleh-land can reach this level? probably when my great-grand-kid have their own great-grand-kid.... if lucky shakehead.gif

Where got investment can guarantee high positive return all the time? Give high return you said it is ponzi scheme. Give low dividend you blame government.

If you like it pls buy more or quit if you dont like. Dont politicalize the issue la.

hmm.gif some kopitiam uncles in my taman chats....
if the PNB is that "pure", why does it needs to change?
why now after the recent change of Govt?
could it be "shit" had been found and in order not the spooks the mkts....
change without announcing the "trouble" inside?
*
u all should understand type of person zeti is. she is a very risk-averse person and she is oso fiercely independent. u think if wahid was still leading and bn was still govt, pnb wont kena pau to give ASM higher then 5.5 and risk the future?

QUOTE(yklooi @ Mar 29 2019, 10:18 AM)
why no more fully support local mkts & needs to venture into foreign soils?
too much murky water locally to justify to stay off for a while?
*
not no longer support but need to go outside to get the returns. same like epf, when youre so big and you need to get returns but local market too small/cannot provide return, need to look elsewhere. you look at the size of epf and pnb you think they can get the return from klci that has been poor for the past 5 years if they only invest locally?

hmm.gif this sentence made me worried....
even with the full support PNB and EPF...."klci that has been poor for the past 5 years"
hmm.gif what the future would hold for KLCI if those "Big Bothers" did not continue to fully support it.
sweat.gif  sweat.gif
hmm.gif no point keep throwing money into a sinking ship?  sad.gif

youre reading it wrong. when big boys hold so much stock, stock market is very stable. no large up or down swing because big boys tend to buy and hold rather than trade like retail investor.

the future is ok even if pnb and epf continue to expand their overseas investment. it is their job to diversify and not keep all egg in 1 place (klci) because if they just give return as per their stated benchmark then everyone suffer.

look at pnb and epf financials, they have room to grow overseas investment while still maintain current local holding
