QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Nov 24 2018, 09:27 PM) The moment below 4% I think everyone will cabut? No? Depending what is FD rate when ASx 4%... Basically ASx is an alternative to FD, with higher return at similar risk level. FD rate depending on Bank Negara OPR rate...OPR depending to country ecomonic data...better the ecomonic data, higher the OPR rate and FD rate... ASx accumulating stock and trading stock at different entry price....ASx may still holding Nestle stock @ entry price RM50, Public Bank @ RM15...and more...so ASx easily could selectively realised profit from old cheap stock... Thats why many still prefer ASW2...bcoz they might holding stock at cheaper entry price..higher buffer Just my humble 2sen..

Their entry cost could be lower vs ASM3 π

Do correct me if I'm wrong No problems... Next time don't use such word here.. Kopitiam no issues.. Much worse also non issues π Well basically only bumi & mualaf have special privileges... The max.. As for Indians.. The loans seems like some kind of political stunt... Nearly scam level π΄π
only thing is the special quota...

QUOTE(veera77 @ Nov 24 2018, 01:49 PM) Khazanah portfolio hit (for weekend investment reading) https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...falling-stocks/Im not saying ASNB portfolio also being hit..ha ha Anyway, its bear market now...Cash is king..keeping in low risk investment like ASNB is one of the best choice.. well, i read the news too... And i think the reality of having lower dividend next year seem to be much felt.. As the dip looks so negative than expected..

ASx & EPF almost same exposure... Just like khanazah... Only differences... EPF have more foreign investment...

EPF have more foreign investment... Historically, looking at long term trend line, landed properties do appreciate above inflation n fd return. This is without rental yield. If look at short term noise like 5 years 10 years then often affected by cycle but if 30 years 50 years usually ok one. But then again many ppl not so patient to wait for 30 to 50 years for appreciation most looking at rental yield, which for landed is quite bad. My landed rental yield mostly at 2% only lol

If u see rental yield low.. Better dump into ASx for less headache π or u might want venture into REITs π

Sorry guys if my off topic got this forum into hot water, while many here can get 4-5 digits a day, for me a week can get 4-5 digits consider good for me, so to reach my quota a month my cash in account is idling so I thought of discussing how does other sifus keep their cash without it staying stagnant while waiting for units. Probably this should b under finance management forum not necessarily ASNB. Again, my apologies if any got reported due to me going off topic.

Probably this should b under finance management forum not necessarily ASNB. Again, my apologies if any got reported due to me going off topic. While waiting to deposit in ASNB, If u want to park for more than one month..then FD is best choice...u can use 1-month auto-renewal option. If less than one month...then better keep saving/current account.. Or if u have βfull flexi home loanβ..then keep in mortgage account and u could enjoy daily interest saving...but check with your banker, type of ur mortgage account and flexible in transfering online excess amount... QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 24 2018, 10:27 PM) Yeah... Both of u correct.. ASW @ ASM2 is longer history... Their entry cost could be lower vs ASM3 π Yes exactly. ASM3 will have the highest risk of having all its unrealised profit wiped out. But only time will tell if 6% can be maintained. Since reporting is not that transparent, nobody really knows how much buffer is left
