Khazanah portfolio hit (for weekend investment reading)

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...falling-stocks/

Im not saying ASNB portfolio also being hit..ha ha

Anyway, its bear market now...Cash is king..keeping in low risk investment like ASNB is one of the best choice..

well, i read the news too... And i think the reality of having lower dividend next year seem to be much felt..

As the dip looks so negative than expected..

Recently top up is so ridiculously troublesome. Every time no units for sale, the system back to homepage. Have to use effort to rekey in amount and attempt again.

Btw, dividend for ASM based on rumours will hover around 5.4-5.6%. Can trust?
*
I have the feeling that it would be around that range too..

As I believe that EPF and ASNB Fixed Price would contribute the lowest declaration of dividend in history based on the current economy condition..

Balik kampung July-August only..(summer break)..till then can’t touch my ASNB...

Anyway, ASM3 is always my ‘saving account’ during my stay in Malaysia..

No heart to touch ASW and ASM..
*
Yes, I am doing the same thing now..

ASM3 is turning into the account that i would withdraw whenever I require..

Is that ASNB fixed price funds heavily invested in stocks that Khazanah Nasional is investing in?

I believe all sifus here have better understanding than me.. blush.gif

Yeah, better get prepared for the first time lower-than-6% dividend declaration this time for ASM..

I believe if ASM declared lower dividend, ASM2 and ASM3 might be declaring even lower as compared to ASM..

Where got investment can guarantee high positive return all the time? Give high return you said it is ponzi scheme. Give low dividend you blame government.

If you like it pls buy more or quit if you dont like. Dont politicalize the issue la.
*
Yes, i do agreed 100% with this statement..

The global economy is affecting the dividends too, nothing much to just say the change of gov affects it..

Isn't it fixed price per unit, which means no fluctuation? correct me if im wrong
*
A fixed price per unit does not mean capital guarantee..

And unit trust is not governed by Pidm, unlike fixed deposit. Subject to approval and ASNB, a conversion from FP to VP is possible, depending on the sustainability of fund in paying dividend n maintaining the NAV in par to the fixed price..

The projection is a conversion could led to heavy withdrawal so i maintain the stance to use it as saving acc for the time being..
