This is very good. What I worry is too many Chinese in a single fund. Looks like ASM2 and ASM3 are relatively a safer bet.

I didn't know nonbumi cannot buy ASN. Maybe that was the reason I never explore any Amanah Saham after that, other than variable price + commission.

Yeah. When I have spare change, I'll buy. Spare change lying there also won't earn interest. But now need to return money to my friend first. Then 1 stack of credit card bills to pay (bro saitong should know better).

Friend debt can la. He was ok to extend it before i bought more ASM2 on fire sale day. Otherwise, would've settled 1 day after the fire sale.

The reason for suspension and fund size is not making much sense to me. You see, they've been increasing the fund size every now and then. 100% not an issue. Suspending will only make it bigger - people who sell and buy after the 1st calendar day stand to lose dividend, so they save 1 month dividend.

My guess is, if there's any reason for this to be true, PNB is buying in to redistribute as dividends (not sure if that is allowed, but I think I saw something like that in annual report stating they did not buy any). Otherwise, maybe only bumi can buy to balance back the %.

edit : anyway, that chart is about the number of unit holders. Still need to know the % of units they hold. People like unker 1 person hold few hundred k unit, unker's untie 1 person 100k unit. even more lopsided.

Fortunately EPF did not. Yeah, 2018 wasn't that bad in 1malaysia. Was US fluctuating.

If serious talk, yes, I did tell people I intro about this risk. Price won't go down, but if collapse, no buyers also.

Have to looky see their annual report to see what counters they invest in. As long as those are giving good dividends, then you should get good dividends

I think this will be a concern when we become variable price. Fixed Price just give dividend only.

I heard it's more difficult to liok money from EPF.

The figures you listed for ASMx is approved size, not actual size. That day I looky see ASM3 is around half your figure only. ASM2 is the one maxing out. ASM1 still can tahan another 1.5 rounds of 6% dividends before maxing out its approved limit.

Tabung Haji is people's pilgrimage fund, ASN is just extra money where everyone tries to be pelabur bijak, less need to jaga.

Not massive loss kua. Otherwise not allowed to sell already. Of the top 10 companies, only a few lost some projects right? I think gamuda was one of them. Axiata dividend still coming.

Actually I forget one thing - they trade in the stock market too. That's where a huge chunk of the dividend came from.

I think with 90% held by non-bumi, little incentive to increase the authorized units. So just buy from sellers and redistribute as dividend (if they are allowed to do so). Otherwise maybe there really is no one selling.

When was the last time you managed to buy? Was it nov over a Sunday mega sale?

more or less same. For me, only reason to buy from maybank2me is to try win some $500. You have to pay $1 for successful and erred transactions but no catchas.

If use ASN site, then have to type catchas.
