Honestly, in some fb group. This b618/b818 became god of the modem......
*
Yes, I know this B618 and B818 are quite strong in signal reception, and so it makes the connection faster and stable.
But, if the location is congested or too far away from the tower, it doesn't matter how powerful the router, you'll definitely get bad connection.

I'm a satisfied Infinite 150 /B618-65D user except for the price. Went to TMPoint yesterday to sign up for Unifi Bebas. They checked my coverage and told me my area is not covered even with Unifi Air. I took a gamble and sign up for the RM10 Unifi Bebas package to try. Unlimited data for first month but speed is throttled at 7MB. Put the card into my Huawei E5186-22s, it couldn't connect. Put it into my Huawei B618-65D it worked at 4G+ and full bar signal as opposed to what TMPoint told me. Youtube and Netflix ran without a hitch. File downloading is never over 1MB. I guess they capped it. But at RM10 what is there to complain. When I put my Digi Infinite card into the Huawei E5186 modem I could only get 4G and not 4G+. Does E5186 support 4g+? I can get 4G+ when the card is in the B618.s
And I was thinking of giving the Unifi Air RM79 package a try and compare with Infinite 150. If I can get full 4G+, unlimited data and no speed cap, then can consider terminate Infinite as this would save me about RM70/month.
*
Unifi Mobile postpaid 59 is not intended in a 4G CPE router since it only has 10GB quota for hotspot.
Unifi Mobile Bebas is a prepaid, you could buy the RM35/monthly unlimited data, currently on promo until December, to use as hotspot in routers that supports 4G LTE band 5. The speed is capped to 8mbps.

Huawei e5186-22 does not support 4G LTE band 5, and that means your location has only band 5 coverage for Unifi Mobile.

after using digi infinite 150 for 3 months, last few days suddenly speed drop to 1-5mbps (previously 20-30mbos), complaint to digi live chat, told me need 24-48 hours to repair...just now i asked again why the line still very slow? told me there is a new maintenance going on, and expect the line only can restore back to normal by 2nd Oct... anyone experienced service disruption for so this long...?
*
After 2nd Oct, you might get excuse like “DiGi proposed to install a new tower”.
Hope you are not getting fooled by DiGi CS.

just now i ask live chat again, they really told me now too many users and need to install a new tower only can solve this issue ==

i wondering whether because after i start use digi infinite 150... every month i use around 600+ gb...and this cause their network congested and they noticed and start limit the coverage around my house, coincidentally my house is at the border area so they just slightly reduce the coverage then can solve their network issue
*
Do you believe Digi is truly going to install a new tower? I believe Digi CS has made those "wonderful" promises to many people, and hence Digi should have a lot of tower needed to be installed because it might need the authorities approval.

And so for those who truly believe, please wait patiently for it might take a lifetime to install a new tower.

New tower is the excuses Digi uses to cheat its customers to continue using Digi stupid/useless network.

Hello guys. Im new here. Okay here my problem, im using digi infinite 150 with tenda 4g lte router. But when playing Fortnite on pc, only 1 connected to the network, my ping will always at 100+ and mostly stay at 120 above. Others game can stay 50-70ms and sometimes spike suddenly but thats okay for me. So i wonder if i change my router to huawei b618 can change the ping? Anyone can test out? Im at Alor Setar, Kedah. Been using this plan for like 5 months.
*
Only you yourself can test the 4G internet at your exact location. Just a house next to yours, the 4G network might improve significantly.

QUOTE(matt_rix @ Oct 3 2020, 07:26 PM)
Thats above my budget unfortunately. Is it possible to get anything cheaper? How do i check if the router support lte advanced?
*
Huawei B525s-65a may be a good option for LTE-A router which cost around RM450~500. It supports a variety of LTE bands.
Bumping up a bit more, you may get Huawei B618 or B818 though.

Hello, i'm currently using Digi i150 plan with my phone, was looking for a Huawei router that can be band locked using the HManager. Yes I'm well aware of the B618/818 model (have to opt out of this for now becoz of the price) and other Huawei models mentioned in this thread (B310, B525). I'm now eyeing for B535 and B315 which i cannot find enough info about is usability i.e. that is if it can enable band-locking with HManager. Someone have any info about this?
*
You had better take the Huawei B525 since it's a 4G+ router whereas the Huawei B315 is just a 4G only router.
I have used the Huawei B525s-65a router b4, and yes it can locked band using the HManager.

Hi guys.
Wanna ask about termination.
Can I terminate Infinite plan thru phone call? Because now inter district travel is not allowed.
*
You can call Digi helpline (110) to suspend the line, under suspension your bill will be pro-rated. Meaning you'll only pay for the days that you use it.

Guys, I'm using i150 with TPLink MR400. With MR400, the spped normally in between 20-30MBps average. Considering to upgrade for Huawei B818. Any big difference between these two models?
*
TP Link MR400 is a 4G only CPE router whereas Huawei B818 is a 4G+ CPE router. So, if your location has strong Digi 4G+ network, then the answer to your question is yes. Mind you though, if the network at your location is too congested, whatever routers would be just the same.

That’s good for you.

For my location, DiGi network is totally useless. It might get 70mbps, maybe the best just for a blink second, in the early morning with Huawei B618. It’s less than 10mbps from afternoon till evening, and less than 3mbps at night time. Good router also is useless against bad network and worst congestion.
I terminated i150 in less than 2 weeks, luckily added my brother-in-law DiGi number to the i150 account. Otherwise, RM300 advanced payment would be burned.

Luckily now my home just got Unifi fiber, no need to look for any 4G network to use as home internet. rclxm9.gif

QUOTE(keong8867 @ Nov 29 2020, 01:23 AM)
All brother  ,I need help here . Everyday my digi prepaid sim card will get 1GB free highspeed data . Before this I did speedtest every midnight(because data only available for midnight) ,and the speed I can get 40mbps - 60mbps sometimes .

1) So I got a Huawei 4G router pro 2 with me now . I use my same iphone did speedtest , inside my house I get 25mbps-30mbps . I put the card in the router and put it near window , and I use my iphone to connect and do speedtest , the speed is also get 25mbps -30mbps .

But after I put the card back to the iphone , and stand the same place where I put the router , I can get 45mbps -50mbps. Why is this happen? Can I get any setting to set that I can get the fastest speed? Or it is the router problem?

When I use iphone did speedtest , I got higher download speed but upload speed is between around 10mbps . But when I put inside the router , download speed and upload speed also can get 25mbps-30mbps.

2) If this speed at midnight, Is it worth to sign digi infinite 150 plan?
*
1) Huawei 4G router pro 2 is a 4G only router, whereas your iphone should be connected to 4G+ network. Therefore, your iphone should get better speed than the router.
2) You should not use midnight to check whether or not your location is good to use Digi. I may suggest you to get a prepaid and buy the all-day unlimited high speed internet @ RM8 for testing.

Thank you for your reply.I understand that I pay more to get more speed but in my place ,this is only streamyx 8mbps , even not the unifi air . What can I do? I also hope that I can get fiber service . But no , so I can only forcus on the wireless broadband to get more faster speed.

As I say ,I can get 40-60mbps , but this speed is only on my iphone , but if I use router to make speedtest , it only get 25-30mbps. If I can get 40-60mbps all day with my router , I'm very satisfy with the speed and I wont request more speed because it is enough for me.

If I got this router only can get 25mbps , RM150 , I think it is a little expensive .aih.... Dont know what to do now
*
It’s extremely difficult to get consistent speed for 4G connection. So, don't think that you could get ±50mbps all-day on 4G network too.
If there's no other options, you will have to make do with 25mbps for RM150 if you really want high speed. You may invest in a good 4G+ router like Huawei B818 or B618 to get better speed. Otherwise, just stick with 8mbps Unifi Lite (Streamyx) if you think Digi i150 is expensive.

I think you should try Unifi Air for RM79 b4 SST. It gives truly unlimited high speed internet although it varies for each and every location since it's also running on 4G network. To me, unifi mobile network has improved a lot at my home location with speed up to 100mbps in the morning and 20~50mbps at night time which I could get only ±10mbps all day previously. You may get a Unifi Mobile Bebas (prepaid) for testing.

QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Nov 29 2020, 11:22 PM)
Let me explain about my own situation.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

From your earlier explanation , all you care is super speed, hyper speed. Speed , Speed , Speed. Eat Mbps, sleep Mbps, dream Mbps.  shakehead.gif

Router does not , and will not guarantee speed. So dont equate your RM 150 and say - "this router only can get 25mbps , RM150 , I think it is a little expensive". Your final speed comes from the Digi tower. BTW, RM 150 for a router aint expensive. There are Rm 300+ 4G routers.

So If I were in your shoes, the options would be:
1) Since you are on Digi Prepaid - and I assume you are using BigBonus 70 - Since you claim you are paying RM 73 a month, I would use a lower BigBonus plan . Lower your monthly cost, and lower your "dissatisfaction" rate.
I wont describe more here, since it will conflict with this thread about Infinite.
2) Just live with it. Like seriously. So what if today you get 25Mbps, tommorow 60Mbps, next day 30mbps. Is it so important?
3) Consider other unlimited telco plans. Again. Do your research. I will leave this thread purely for Infinite 150 discussion.
*
That should be the Unifi Lite (Streamyx, up to 10M speed depending on tech capabilities) at RM69 b4 SST. I agreed with you "He is trying to equate speed vs price ratio", or maybe he wishes to get the speed like fruitie, NOTE: she did mention all-day for OVER 100mbps - CLICK HERE . To be honest, who wouldn't wish to get the speed like hers too biggrin.gif tongue.gif .

Look at the upload. Clear sign of congestion. Like being throttled on a 3Mbps Unlimited plan yet paying RM 150.

It's simply very bad network, cause my upload speed is also very unstable. It could get 0.1mbps even in the wee morning. So, that might not be congestion.

I did take DiGi i150 b4 with the intention to replace Streamyx with 2mbps max due to technical limitations plus frequent DC bangwall.gif at my location. But, just for 2 weeks time only and terminated.

hi all sifus

i am a bit confused at the moment

i am currently using b525 and i have been trying to get the signal to lock to lte advanced using hmanager.

i tried locking the router with band 3 and 7, the speed improved but the signal is still showing as LTE.

i know for a fact that my area does support lte advanced as my router sometimes change status from lte to lte advanced randomly

can anyone help? cheers
*
Some Huawei 4G+ router will remain on 4G network when idle/running low speed webpages.
Try to check again when you're doing speedtest.

Yes, unfortunately we are all facing the same slow speeds by DiGi. I only wish they will improve once the MCO 3.0 is over, but better still, they expedite the launch of their 5G service.
*
TBH, Digi only cares that you must pay the bill on time.
Whether or not the network is good, then Digi CSes would simply tell you "we'll be upgrading/enhancing the network at your area, and sorry for the inconvinence, and your patience is much appreciated".

PLEASE WAIT PATIENTLY, THANK YOU.
