i use hotspot, you know we have this magic number 618  biggrin.gif
*
It's Celcom prepaid unlimited pass that cannot use hotspot.
Please don't boast 618 could do anything unless the B618 is modded for specific usage.

In your dream la

not only they wont unlock, they will take the modem back
*
The modem need to be returned after the contract, wonder if there any penalty for not returning it after 24 months.
It seems more like a lifetime contract unless you return the B618.

made a report to Digi on slow internet issues despite the signal showing a full bar at 4g + .. after 5 days they admit the problem caused by the tower could not cope or cater the large number of users.
the questions.. how long to wait.. do I entitle for rebates.. etc.
area: tasek/bercham ipoh..  for now i'm not intend to opt-out.. since  it is the best overall package for me and have been used for more than 2 years now..
*
Building a new tower is what DiGi uses to tell its users when DiGi is NOT going to do anything.
Remember to Slow Slow Wait.

What else can the users do besides lodging a complain to MCMC? Waiting long long is the only other option left available to us.
*
There's NOTHING can be done besides waiting-for-nothing.
MAYBE, MCMC might do something, but the END RESULT is just everything remain the same.
1) either bear with the stupid network or 2) port out to a happier telco.

If Digi is capping the speed, do you think they'll admit it?
Then, you may complain to MCMC. MCMC is a REDUNDANT complain centre, it won't do things like it used to.

There's seller at LAZADA selling 5G modem, but it costs an arm and a leg.
Maybe, you could share your experience if you were to buy it.

Don't know this is OT or not, but couldn't find any MAXIS tread.
And wonder if Maxis is finally countering Digi infinite 150? It's written that "Get unlimited data even if you're not in fibre coverage area"

dg may revise their 150 price plan soon with reduce feature to against the maxis one go plan
*
Digi may NOT because i150 comes with call and SMS features whereas Maxis is a broadband plan.

True, Maxis do not have calls & SMS in the plan.
*
Forgot to mention that Digi also has free RLH which costs RM30 something on some plans. So, why would Digi bother to revise the price, right? Unless, Digi is getting generous out of its mind.

RLH is worth it if u travel every month else it's useless
*
Every mobile plan has its own bundled features. Whether you use it or not, that's your choices. Can you request for rebate by saying remove RLH or I will never use the RLH?

fup 300gb quota, after quota will be cap at streaming, not sure the brwosing speed though...

as for fiber sim, earlier ald got streaming cap 8pm~12am, not sure about this sim...

laugh.gif  laugh.gif

seem like all telco forcing cap at 300gb quota/month laugh.gif
*
It's OT though, according to Maxis CSs, I did ask a few of them. All of them said this is a different plan and it's a broadband plan. Hence, It's truly unlimited, despite that I myself can't be assured by what their CSs said.
Since you said FUP 300gb quota, do you find any TnC to support what you said or are you just simply guessing based on Maxis "fibre+postpaid?

Did you not say MNP to Digi prepaid? For prepaid, it can be done at Digi center only.

A telco can never reign supreme everywhere, we use what's the best for ourself, and other people experiences may significantly be different to ours.
Digi is the worst telco in my location while other telcos are very noticeably better.

Since this is DiGi i150 site, and to compare with this plan, it should be the One Go WiFi. Well, it’s also a guessing.

There's no more "limited time offers" shown on Digi Infinite 100 and 150.
But, on Digi webpage, it said "Currently no plans are present".
Have i100 and i150 plans been stopped?

Yup, the Infinite is still there on Digi webpage.
Both the i100 and i150 still on webpage.

I can see it there too.

That have appeared again. I should have screenshot it just now.
Anyways, I don't really care since Digi is not good at my location.

QUOTE(bjohnxbjohn @ Aug 3 2020, 01:44 PM)
Good afternoon to all Digi user.

I am using Huawei Mate 10 which it has all the Digi 4G bands, CA and VoLTE features.

I had been working from home since MCO enforced on 18 March 20. I used my i150 on the phone for my daily use, and the speed at my area dropped significantly:
- from 50Mbps to 30Mbps in the morning
- from 20Mpbs to 8Mbps after 8:00 pm

I know band 8 caused the problem sometimes, which will deliver a reduced speed at 5-10Mbps.

I wish to buy a Huawei b818 from overseas to improve the speed and not to depend on the phone too much before battery fried.

I wish to ask if anyone is using Digi infinite plan has a good or significant improvement after switching from phone to Huawei modem router b818/b618.
*
I believe many people will answer yes, cause 4G CPE routers tend to get better signal, especially the Huawei B818 and B618.
Mind you, if your location is very congested, then you’ll see only a little or unnoticeable differences regardless of whatever routers you use.

Do you think using B618 will be zero issue?
It might be congestion.
