Yeap, I think preorder queue will only be long on Thursday midnight before 12am Friday, on the exact date evening should be quite empty

i go at 930am and the queensbay mall penang maxis open at 1030am, i reach already have 10+ peoples infront of me... until almost 1030am, already have 30+

that day mate 10 pro launch, right side mate 10 pro line no people



and i got number 1 as pre order customer, all infront of me is walk in

last year maxis didnt do midnight delivery like last few previos gen iphone i cannot wait so choose collect myself 😂

Singaporeans also queued at Applestore on launch day (the usual kiasu sinkies). Ironically there was no need for queue on the second day onwards. You could basically walk in to get a unit.

you mean you also paid online already during the pre order (or you chose a zerolution plan) - and yet, collecting has so many people in queue? Alamak, like that must go 7pm liow.

I saw someone else saying the same thing (US warranty but can claim in Malaysia AASPs). Super confused and the only reason why I'm not jumping at imported sets.

So much miss the gardens and capsquare midnight launch.
I went there about 11:30pm but the queue is just crazy and decided to go for a drink and went back at about 4am , still lots of people even uncle auntie was sitting on the floor wait for the queue. Got my iPhone 4 at about 7am. Capsquare alot of people as well but not as crazy as 4. Those were the days.

I did ask friend of mine who work w authorised delarr ( machine and now it world) he did mention now they considering (discussion) to fulfil other country iphone warranty except hk set, thats why he said if i really want just go for us set. But since just 1 week and half more (that time) i just choose to wait. Dont want go through hassle for warranty.

Useful if you wanna go wireless. I'm using Mophie.

I went for iPhone 4, 5 and 6. 4 and 6 were crazy queues.

I felt the wireless charger kill the battery much faster as my previous 8 plus battery degraded to 90% in less than a year. My 6s plus is at same 90% but it was about 3 years old. The charging pattern is 99% similar and the only different was wireless charging.

Yeah man.. I was a bit lucky with the Iphone 4 as I went to Digi Ss2 a day after launch to have a look see, the guard saw me and ask me ...Iphone? I nodded and he gave me a number and ushered me to the 1st floor and I got my iphone 4 unintensionally.
The capsquare launch for the 5 was crazy. The queues were horrendously long and the atmosphere was a freaking carnival like.
During the 5s launch, I went to queue at MacCity 1U at 7am in the morning. People were already queuing up since yesterday night. Staff started serving snacks amd drinks at 8:30pm and started giving out numbers. I was the last to be able to secure a Gold 5s that day. They had to turn people away after me because there were not enough stocks to go around. The next day, went to Maxis Selayang and got another gold unit.
For the Iphone 6+, it was midnight collection at KLCC and 6s+ was delivered to my home at midnight by Maxis staff. Bear in mind we spent hours in front of the pc preordering before we got to make payment for the phones.

Sad that its just not happening this round. However I wouldn't want to go through any of the above just tp buy a phone now too
