My TIME broadband contract already expired, and even with the promo they are offering, I'm on the fence to migrate to uMobile for lower price with same speed.

Just received a call from TIME customer rep, he suggest to wait until January because TIME will announce new offer for loyal customer, but I'm still skeptical tho, but probably worth the wait, TIME internet so far give me very little headache, like no drama at all like maxis, unifi in my previous experience.

Looking here for best way to get seamless transition if I decided to migrate later.

If you downgrade within the contract period, yes the contract will be reset.

I relocated my Time-router today. Switched the router off. I disconnected the fiber cable, moved my router, then reconnected the fiber cable.

Now, it can't connect to the internet. Router LOS-light is blinking RED. ONT info (in Admin webpage) also shows blank.

How to fix it ?

icic. yeah. i also think that it is the plan with the highest CP value, it is rm40 more but one get 5x speed.

with the current promo (6 months rm99, subsequent rm139) comparing to 100mbps plan at rm99. both have 1 month free.
the average monthly fee is about rm129 for 24 months which is rm30 extra comparing to rm99 100 mbps plan for 5x speed which is not bad also.
yes, tri-band is very very crucial for wireless backhaul. it is a day and night difference for the speed and latency comparing to dual-band.

yes FTTR is using fibre-optic to connect between nodes (wired backhaul), meaning all should get full speed so even dual-band may not be bad via wifi.

ur lantecy is so good. power. meaning this mesh system not bad. expensive? it is wifi 6 with 4 streams no wonder so good. is ur main node and child node far apart or nearby?

i notice that from my trial and error, if the parent node is too near to the child node, the child node gets actually lower speed and higher latency comparing to be further away or with a wall in between. within light of sight it is even performing poorer. funny. my child node signal strength with parent node is -60 dBM and i am getting quite good speed and latency comparing to -40 dBM.
wah.. good deal. nice to stay in lower plan so that they offer better carrot. too bad i had signed 500Mbps at the start.

now i subscribed times in my new house but i can no longer connect lan cable due to port too far, so need to use wireless, with the mesh placed, i only able to get 30% of the speed

how to improve this? to get as close to the subscribed speed

There’s super thin Cat6a cables that you can get to avoid using the default grey/blue Ethernet cables.

I got mine in bulk from Taobao.

Just submit my application from U mobile website for 100mbps package. Hopefully everything turns well.

submitted my termination notice for my TIME BB 500mbps. Need 30 days notice. Hence, it will be cancelling on Mar 20.

In the next 12 months, I can save only RM300.

Rebate. If i maintain 100mbps, they offer either rm99 rebate, or the wifi6 mesh node.

I suggest those who contracts have expired not to renew to gather the offer ya.

I believe 5G would be the alternative option and offers cheaper in cost. Hence Fibre Providers would reduce their pricings.
