QUOTE(jjj2 @ Aug 28 2023, 03:50 PM) Have you contacted them to check ? Do you have a FTB installed at your house perimeter/store room ? If so, ask them to check that part too.... also check the subbox in the drain... Yes. They've done that. Reading at FTB and drain is only around 0.5dBm difference. SI said the next subbox after the one I'm connected to, is at -20dBm. The SI requested I continue to monitor. If there are still issues, they'll contact the engineers at TIME to take a look. I've contacted TIME through Facebook and they said it's fine as long as it's below -26dBm. And said it'll fluctuate from time to time, but to me it does not seem normal to fluctuate ±6dBm. Today, the reading is stable at -19.47 to -19.87. I wasn't home for the past few days and was monitoring thru tailscale to home. I moved the fibre around today, and maybe that fixed the inconsistent reading for the past few days. Hasn't gone back to -17 since then.

QUOTE(mamakap @ Aug 29 2023, 11:49 AM) Hi, Is it possible ask TIME to switch from a HG8M8145X6 modem router to HG8240H?? I don't think they'll do that. Why do you need to switch? You can just contact CS to change to bridge mode and it'll be the same as HG8240H.

QUOTE(mamakap @ Aug 31 2023, 12:52 PM) I hate the antenna, taking too much spaces anyway I already set to bridge mode and using my own router. By the way how to enable TIME IPv6 on the Huawei router? IPv6 is already enabled by default on the HG8145X6. You have to set it up on your own router.

Is there a way for me to use the mesh node as the ONT instead? The fibre connection on the main node/ONT is loose.
I know in AP mode, you can export/import the config. I was wondering if I can switch the ONT to AP mode and export config, then import it to the mesh node. But I don't know if changing mode will retain configuration.
Unless this can only be done if you have the admin account or ask a SI to come

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Sep 21 2023, 01:44 PM) U mean you want to use the 2nd unit of X6 as the ONT ? You can't as you will need the ONT/ONU--OLT authentication password for the new authentication to take place & your profile in time system is still recorded as old one, this will cause some problem in the future. What do you mean the fiber connection is loose ? You can anytime call CS to request them to replace the faulty parts/equipment. Thanks. Yeah. I got the PLOAM password, It's the same as the PPPoE password like Anime4000 noticed. Can't really do anything with it if I don't have the superadmin password to set up. By loose, I mean, the fibre connector can be easily removed and slight movement can degrade the reading. It's not that big of a deal.

QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ Oct 4 2023, 09:13 PM) Time-limited sign up but permanent 100Mbps for new sign ups. In addition, current 30Mbps Unifi users paying RM89/month also get upgraded to 100Mbps while RM89/month stays as their permanent price. Basically free speed upgrade to existing Unifi users. The RM99/month most likely placeholder so that TM share price doesn't drop drastically due to new MSAP implemented. And finally TIME got competition for cheapest 100Mbps plan. Now we wait for TIME and other ISPs to announce their new pricing as well.

QUOTE(gaman @ Oct 8 2023, 11:43 AM) Thanks for your prompt reply. How about down time? I heard stories that TIME had regular down time, sometimes up to few hours. I am more worry about that than upload speed. My current Unifi ADSL rarely have down time. If so, just few minutes. I've been using for almost 2 months now. I didn't get any downtime yet. My friend has been using it for a few years now, so far I didn't hear any downtime from him either.

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Oct 9 2023, 02:30 PM) Hi guys, I have a HG8145X6 as the router provided by Time. I want to use my Tplink C5400 instead, how to go about ya? I already have the PPOE credentials. Call time support and request for bridge mode. Then set up PPPoE on your TP-Link, no vlan/ISP profile needed.

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Oct 9 2023, 02:46 PM) Alright thanks will do. How about cable? LAN1 from the Huawei to Wan port on my new router? Edited: Just contacted CS, they say my modem cannot change to bridge mode. Yes. Call again. Plenty of people has done this. Some took multiple call until they finally enabled bridge mode.

QUOTE(Jeremy_John @ Oct 17 2023, 10:19 PM) Since last week there is packet loss been getting packet loss for twitter/x images and video server and during peak hours increased latency to more sites. [attachmentid=11482438][attachmentid=11482439]Also dns query to cloudflare seems to be slow or suffering packet loss during peak hour had to change back to google. I'm on 202.184.x.x with the best gateway but on 202.185.x.x or 202.186.x.x the packet loss is way worst. Anyone else feeling it or having similar issues? No issues with videos etc. But I had issues with using Quad9 DNS for Facebook and Instagram a few days ago. Not loading or slow. Was fine with cloudflare or Google DNS. Not sure if it's due to quad9 or TIME. My IP seems to be always 161.x.x.x and sometimes the ping to TIME KL speedtest server is 12ms instead of the usual 6ms (I'm in Penang). I don't have time to game rn so idk about routing issue. But seems to be good the last time I did play.

QUOTE(Guenhwyvar @ Oct 27 2023, 04:36 PM) Hi there a question, sorry I'm not familiar with this. If I want to change to my router should I be using router or bridge mode? Bridge mode on the TIME provided modem/router, this will make it modem mode only. Not bridge mode on your router

QUOTE(RagingCandy @ Nov 16 2023, 08:05 PM) You can do it by yourself. After login into the router, change the Uplink to AP. That is not bridge mode. Doing that will reset the settings on the unit. Then a SI will have to come and redo everything. Calling TIME support is a must for bridge mode unless you know the password for the real admin account

QUOTE(RagingCandy @ Nov 16 2023, 08:51 PM) Uh... I might misunderstood ur ask. I set the unit to AP so I can use to bridge mode to set another SSID / Mesh. That's not bridge mode. Bridge mode is disabling the router function of the unit and it acts as a modem, then you can use your own router. AP mode can let you use the unit as a router, access point and a repeater, disabling the modem function of the unit.
