Yes its true.
That is true too. But that only applies for official Honda factory tinted, not tint done by the SA(but claimed it was by Honda). To know if its from the factory, the tint warranty card/slip will have Honda logo together and warranty contact is Honda, not 3M or Ecotint.

Did you tint your car at honda? is it nice?

Must be something very private that you do in ur car which you are very mindful of others might take notice. hmm.gif  If heat rejection is ur concern, prioritise on tint that has better heat rejection properties instead of just being darker but less efficient at rejection.
*
Since the tint is so clear, cannot do anything private also. Haha

When I first bought the car, I thought as long can tahan heat and won't kena jpj, it doesn't matter if not dark. But now see people darker tint jealous lo. If can be slightly dark, good heat rejection and pass jpj will be perfect..

Yes. So ngam they had Ecotint Rm850 promo package when I booked my car, so i took that. Heat rejection okaylah, not as good as 3M Crystaline in my old car but that had leather seats.

Lolz! Min VLT for windscreen is 70%, but you rather risk getting saman by JPJ just becoz you jealous of others. Err, I myself would rather get the best tint and still pass JPJ regulations instead of being jealous and going thru hassle in case got caught (Saman, remove tint, go for Puspakom inspection, pass Puspakom, reapply legal tint). Furthermore, darker tint will make it harder to see out at nite.

If you never had problems, consider urself quite lucky.

I am from Melaka. 3M not suitable for smart tag user
*
Why not apply for the RFID tag? Just had mine installed today, they stick discretely on the outside of the windscreen. Then you can have the best window tint you can afford. The RFID tag is free.

If you remove the battery and switch off engine, the ECU will reset itself after few minutes no power. No need you to reset it. Some might prefer not too because it has to learn ur driving pattern all over again.

And battery can be changed outside no problem.
*
Damn it, should have change it outside.
Honda charged me RM255, outside only RM215 for the same battery (trade in old battery).
Was worried about push start button kong if my car were to be jump-start one day. Bad mistake. doh.gif

How often u all change your car battery?

I can see why ur battery die so fast. Seldom used car, long intervals between starting the engine, very short drives. All these standing still leads to battery sulfation (battery losing its capacity to hold charge), and the short drives means power being drained during startup but not enough mileage to fully charge the battery. Guarantee battery fast kong.

If you gonna be away for more than 1 week, remove the battery connections and cover the battery terminals with caps to prevent oxidation. Or every week get somebody to start and REV the car for about 3-5 minutes. 2000~3000rpm should be okay.

Indeed 3M is not smart-tag friendly and I had my RFID tag few days back.
Feels good passing thru toll without having to take out the smart-tag. Smooooth...

I have a Dapcase double holder which holds my smart tag and smartphone. Now it's a white elephant! Lol.
I miss my smartag beeping sound. Haha. Scared to go faster like smartag time thru the RFID sensor.

What tint are you using? Those guys installing for me said that some types of tint are too power that they can't even stick on outside. An XC90 prior to me had to stick on headlamp after his tint interfered with their sensor detection. Luxury car agung tint darkness failed. Lolz!

I confirmed my Ecotint no problem for RFID sticker on outside.

I wonder if his parents would know how to use that battery charger? I know mine won't, lolz! Just revving the car every week should keep it "fresh".

Mid range raytech security film. Didn't have any problem with the smartag service either.

Hi. You have the RFID fixed internal or external of your windscreen? Mind letting me know which location?
I am also on 3M crystalline and will be fixing the RFID next week.
Thanks in advance.

You go their website and pick a location and either a morning or afternoon fitting session. If you know when you're fixing it, then you'll already know this. The fitting takes only minutes, them printing their paperwork takes longer. So just bring a copy of driver licence and motor insurance cover note to help speed things up.
