no one will take over proton when they don't get the controlling stake + decision making to turn around the company
I believe any company can also make it depending as to how decisions are being made. If the staffs are delinquent and frequently causes problem, then fire them lar. If you pay good money for parts but lousy quality, change supplier. Proton's problem ? self-propogated - it is not impossible to solve them provided the decision-making lies right at the hand of the right people. |

BECAUSE... the new model is coming out july and august... so they try luck - if sales good then reject foreign company... if sales no good then find lor |

QUOTE(CoupeFan @ Jun 2 2007, 10:53 AM) I KNOW!!!... u know why proton and GOV wait 3 months to find partner?... Absolute bullocks. Proton now in dying stages and the new models are actually extended from the current platform. The new gen2 sedan is taken from an extended gen2 chassis and the IRM is an extended savvy platform. They really need a strategic partner in long term to get new platforms as they cant develop a single new platform themselves.BECAUSE... the new model is coming out july and august... so they try luck - if sales good then reject foreign company... if sales no good then find lor The gov is stressing them to find a strategic partner as they did mentioned they will be no company bailout from the gov. Najib say that in today's papers. |

QUOTE(praetorian @ Jun 1 2007, 08:46 PM) Why doesn't the government admit Proton as a failure? The only reason Proton has survived so far is because of the unfair price imposed on other car manufacturer's.The car is of extreme low quality, substandard parts, and worse of all the customer service blows. because there are ppl like hypermountI find it laughable that Proton actually thought they would get investers. I mean c'mon, invest money in me!!! I will spend it on wine, women and song, spend 500 million send them the bill, and yeah, I can give a speech and hope that impresses the VIP folk and yes, keeping my fingers crossed, expect Proton to give me a call.... There would be a higher chance of Hell freezing over than getting that call, btw my land line, the telephone has no dial tone, so yhaa I'd put all my money and stocks in government public listed companies..... just a rant |

QUOTE(Empathy @ Jun 1 2007, 10:49 PM) Personally...I always prefer Proton to have a Japanese partner because Japanese always make cheap , pratical and very reliable cars...I remember when Proton had Mitsubishi as a partner, their quality were higher and much reliable too. Oh, u mean the Wira??? . QUOTE(cre8tif @ Jun 2 2007, 09:59 AM) ...If the staffs are delinquent and frequently causes problem, then fire them lar. I don't think it's a staff problem @ Proton...If you pay good money for parts but lousy quality, change supplier. Proton's problem ? self-propogated - it is not impossible to solve them provided the decision-making lies right at the hand of the right people. They can't change supplier as they can only get parts frm Malaysian suppliers... |
