It depends on model. Some models like GL504, Aero 15/15X, GS65 and GM501 have low response times LG & AUO panels - LGD05C0, AUO80ED, AUO71ED. From what I know, GK5CN6Z uses the same LG panel too. You want to know which model?

Low sRGB isn't noticable to some ppl (I can notice a bit only), however I feel like contrast ratio is more important. If it's for indoor use, 220/250 nits (common in low sRGB IPS panels) is plenty. You can fix a bit via Intel Graphics Control Panel, but not much.

There will be no overheating since you are actually doing GPU undervolting. Max-Q is just a downclocked card, that's all. It will not void warranty.

Ok, so you are saying low sRGB is acceptable? I know this is subjective but too bad there's no chance to try.

If the card is downclocked, could I reverse it to be as good as the typical notebook GTX 1060 out there? Perhaps specifically for this G7 model / max-q?

Should be around the same with GS73VR. Mediocre cooling (fan speed too low) and OK-good build quality. All GS series models are pretty much the same

You can try out yourself. See can differentiate or not. Some ppl don't care about low sRGB

In general most models with Max-Q cards can be tuned with this trick, not for those with bad cooling though.
