guys, what's the cheapest gaming laptop available now? I dun need those powderful ones. not gonna play those high graphics game. more on dota 2, anno 1800 etc

Usage :  iTunes to backup iphone, Watch Youtube , Office Work (using Microsoft Word, Excel file), browsing web
Requirement: Must can install the latest version of iTunes , if possible Able to run Photoshop cause future might need this

*  Something Fast & Multitask Friendly. (Wont lag when opening a lot of tab of program)

* Laptop's Ram upgradability

* Got Service Centre at KL, don't want to get caught out not being able to service it under warranty if needed.

* I don't require touch screen or 2-in-1. Would appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

I see, TQ for your suggestion, but Apple MacBook not in my consideration, im not sure whether other laptop can use latest version of iTunes or not if can use then no need worry bout iTunes, Do You have any other suggestion TQ

no, not latency or lag issue.
as long as can display nicely - not boxy and no need very high details also.
something like the movement is smooth? 

i not sure whether i am heavy iPhone user or not, iphone mostly use on take photo, whatsapp, wechat, facebook, messenger... but the main problem right now is my current iPhone has system problem need to connect iTunes to activate it, but unfortunately my current year 2011 laptop cant install new version of iTunes that's why is important to have laptop that can install new version of iTunes

AND i check two of the model at levono website, Thinkpad E590 RM2829 realtek wireless 8822be 2x2  VS Thinkpad E580 RM2839 intel dual band wireless-ac 3165 , Price and other Spec Thinkpad E590 is better than  Thinkpad E580 , The only thing im want to find out is

For wireless adaptor. The intel 3165 is a 1x1 module. Theoritical speed can hit 433Mbps. 2x2 module can hit theoritical 866Mbps. 99% of the time, Intel wireless adaptor has better drivers from the rest like Atheros, Realtek and Broadcom.

What are your views on Thinkpad L series 380 / 480? L series or E series better?

I'm not using laptop on daily basis, usually 3-5 days/week and not playing games, is it worth to buy Thinkpad T480?

So I read that E is just a consumer series with Thinkpad label. While L is more like 20% of the T series, which makes me wondering if its really worth it getting E4xx over the Ideapad, Swift 3, Matebook or Spin series.

Read that E series is improved now, and consumer series is improving too? But when I search Thinkpad quality equivalent, people still recommend Thinkpad.  Any explanation for this?

But they didn't have 100% sRGB options, their screen is only at 72% sRGB. My questions is that, does 72% sRGB sufficient for minor design or video editing? Or it is preferably to have 100% sRGB for student / future working purpose as a designer?

Thank you for conforming this. I'll try to customize the L series first and compared with other laptop that you recommended in the previous post. For unknown reason, I'm really hooked by the Thinkpad although I admit the design is quite boring when compared to others.

The reason I'm very fussy this time because my previous Inspiron 5437 caused me quite issue. The plastic casing suddenly crack few months out of the factory. Somehow I admire their superb warranty service, they replace the casing on the spot after complaint. Then the CPU fan stop working after few years causing overheating issue. Not sure if its my fault for swapping the RAM which I done many times in other laptop and computer, there's an electrical spark + fire + smoke at the power plug slot.

And that's how I kinda interested with business series laptop. But again I'm typing this from my wife's old Asus A43S. It's thick, bulky, heavy, and the OEM battery  last less than 2 hours, still it served me well and proved me consumer laptop is not that bad considering luck is on our side. Ironically, I used to avoid Asus due to the slow service at Kuching, but that was years ago.

I'm actually fine with the design however I'm more concerned of the display (sRGB). But again its a business laptop, not multimedia. After all this laptop is intended for a lot of office related task and web browsing.

It would be nice to experience the display or maybe testing some similar display laptop.

Hi again, after discussion with my gf, she decided to take my laptop and ill want to get a new one for myself. I use laptop all the time and browse through the web and play casually such as World of Tank and Neverwinter with my laptop, not the best(using minimum setting) any suggestion of laptop that can suit my usage? Not opting for expensive lappy tho.

1. Budget : RM3.5k, can push it up to 4k max
2. Usage  : Basic word processing (have to be able to handle multiple word/pdf tabs being opened; watching streams, youtube etc.; light gaming, i.e. games dont need to be at maximum graphic setting (Dota 2, older single player games like medieval total war, fallout new vegas. Best if able to play modern titles but not a requirement)
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : -

Display - prefer to have a bigger display (current asus laptop is at 15in)

Looks of the laptop - Prefer a laptop that looks professional and not too "gaming laptop" (I know it sounds like a weird requirement but I may have to bring it to work in a fairly conservative environment)

Reliability & warranty - Prefer to have a hassle free laptop that doesnt need to be send for repairs every few months due to hardware fault

Battery life - not a requirement but a good plus point to have.

Weight - not a requirement but a good plus point to have.

Hi ZM Fong, i interested on 15.6" Screen , Screen is bigger and come with Extra Number Pad on right hand side,
Above Yellow Hightlight  is 15.6" Screen but i3- 8th generation,

1) should i upgrade to i5- 8th generation on levono website itself, since you suggest RAM and Storage upgrade myself,

2) suggestion to not upgrade at Lenovo Website because Lenovo Website charge higher on Upgrade, AND upgrade myself to save cost but what to do with the previous installed one (RAM/HDD/SSD), (Sry for Silly question)

If you dont like the look of the Thinkpads (yeah, I think Thinkpads look very uncle , i pick HP Elitebooks for my company because I cannot stand the looks of the Thinkpad), you can go to a more unique path and opt for a xiaomi notebook pro. Go shopee and find sellers. It looks like a macbook pro, it feels like 1 but its not a macbook   As a gaming machine even if its a light duty gaming machine, I think you need to be aware of what the MX150 is . In desktop form, we know it as the GeForce GT1030. MX150 is a weakened version of it for the notebook market.  My opinion is that, at least get a GTX1050Ti or GTX1650 if you want to have any meaningful gaming experience. I myself would suggest you a Lenovo Legion Y530. The whole thing is black like the Thinkpad.

Wanna ask about replacement for Asus Zenbook 3 Deluxe UX490UA as my laptop got screen issue and claimed warranty for it. Asus would offer me either cash or another laptop, as there's no more part for UX490UA. So thinking if there's similar build quality for the model as available nowadays.

Looking for a laptop for general office and net surfing.
Budget 3k, preferably with 8g ram. Screen 14 and above

1. Budget : Max RM5K

2. Usage : Programming,browsing chrome with running multiple tabs and very light gaming(dota2, indie games)

3.Requirement:
-Display size preferably 15.6 inch and low sRGB IPS is acceptable.
-battery life don't really matter, 4 hrs will be enough, guess most of the time will be plug in.
-weight best is within 2.5kg including power adapter. However it can be heavier if necessary even tho lighter is still preferred.
- Ram is at least 8gb
- Overall is just looking some high performance laptop that can handle frequent multi tasking and able to handle dual-boot with linux.
