Thanks for your previous reply to my question.

Seem like the 2-in-1 is one of the focus product now and it's stable and price is also acceptable in the market.

Would like to know, which brand and model, u are recommend for ?

*HP Pavilion x360 14 cd0036tx with RAM upgrade
- actually it come with 4gb RAM, not enuf for normal usage ?
- It didnt come with SSD, felt this more important.

Lenovo shouldnt in the list, since it have problem with it touch screen.

Dell XPS 13 - Any comment about ? The price much higher .

BTW, with such combination, it's must above 3k. right ?

Thank you.

4GB RAM barely enough even for basic tasks. It does have Optane included which will help a bit, however you can swap to SSD if you want

Problem with touch screen in which Lenovo model? Proof?

XPS 13 is another category, cannot compare directly

What combination?

Excellent overall, only thing is the dGPU model results in bad cooling and only x2 PCI lanes TB3. Stick with iGPU model if possible
*
Thanks I think the one on offer is iGPU + i5 model.

Really undecided between Huawei Matebook X Pro and Thinkpad A485 lol

Hi, are you referring to a used or new unit? Is it possible to get a new unit with SSD + RAM upgrade within my budget?

New: https://shopee.com.my/Lenovo-320s-14IKBR-81...3178.1313584796

Upgrades:
RM239: Team Elite 8GB 2400MHz SODIMM RAM, need to trade in original 4GB since it only has 1 RAM slot
RM119-132: Kingston UV500 120GB or Transcend MTS820 120GB or Adata SU800 128GB (M.2 factor)

May over budget by a bit

Okay, thanks for your link.

I was looking at this:

Check out ASUS A442U-FFA040T GOLD (I5-8250,4GB,1TB,2GB NVIDIA MX130, 14 FULL HD,W10) + BAG at 10% off! RM2,099.00 only. Get it on Shopee now! https://shopee.com.my/eitstore/979580218

How are ASUS laptops in general? What about HP?

I am just skeptical about Lenovo because I've family who used their phones and they aren't very good. hmm.gif

your previous post stated the driver problem for lenovo 2-in-1.

The combination of 2-in-1, SSD and FHD.

Thanks.

Depends on model

Low end and mid range stuffs (Vivobooks) are mediocre. The new S530 sounds decent but I'm still waiting for professional reviews. Zenbooks are good but not 'excellent' level

HP have some decent budget models (2018 models). Envy and Spectre line are also good

Lenovo phones aren't good, that's a fact

I see. Thanks for your reply.

So, the main reason to go for Lenovo is the extra savings which can be used for RAM and/or SSD upgrade?

?? When did I say that

You can get convertible with FHD IPS and SSD under 3k:
1. Lenovo Yoga 530/520 - need RAM upgrade (over budget after upgrade)
2. Acer Spin 5 13 - soldered RAM, good sRGB IPS
3. HP Pavilion x360 cd0036tx - need RAM upgrade, battery a bit small

Not the main reason

It has good build quality, IPS display and good battery life for a budget laptop. Input devices and portability also not bad. No major flaws, only thing is it's an Ideapad so QC is hit or miss

Okay understood and thank you for your quick explanation again. Really appreciate it

Anyhow, most laptops (e.g the Asus one I listed) or in general are using TN displays then?
