I see, not much choices if i go for 17inch screen, currently managed to shortlist Illegear only, but I heard it's a local brand right? Any thoughts on the company?

Used Acer before, screen is really bad and broke d send warranty few months T.T... rather not go through that again :/

Just buy that alienware and don't look back liao, rm5.4k only with their store discount, I just ordered one. myway1985 good deal or not?

Illegear is selling clevo model, just rebrand here as illegear, clevo is like custom laptop makers, to me their price a little premium and I don't like their design, their staff are active here though.

Illegear sells TongFang, Quanta and Clevo. Z7 is Quanta NL9C which has really good build quality and cooling (tried it before, really impressed me). AW17 has OK-good cooling and the default panel may be low sRGB IPS

Illegear raven? Only difficult part about your request is the battery life.
Personally I'll be going for the Lenovo Y530 with student discount, 4.5k got gtx 1060, 144hz screen, now got 2 year on site warranty rather than 1. If you can maybe wait for alienware M15 or razer blade 15 base model, need to see their pricing
*
Battery life is around 4 hours. I've tested it

Y530 with 1060 seems like a good deal. AW m15 doesn't sound good and Razer laptops are basically trash

Prefer regular laptop/Ultrabook or gaming/performance laptop? Do you need good sRGB IPS display?

What is the different between regular laptop and ultrabook ?
How to define it ?

I felt some is doing very close to Ultrabook but it actually it normal range, like HP and Lenovo.

I'm confusing.

But I'm prefer ultrabook, as I plan to carry around.

No need good sRGB IPS, as I'm not working as graphic or related.

Thanks.

Just being plain curious,

You guys think if it's worth to import razer blade 15 to use? Or there's other better laptops out there?

Was thinking of the 1060 144hz ver

I didn't check their reddit before.. Didn't expect to be that bad tbh.

I thought it'll be nice to get the mercury white edition but if it's this shitty maybe time to bail lol.. All the reviews online are like giving the laptop such decent reviews... Maybe reviewers units are the good ones while the customers are the shit ones lol

Its kinda disappointing tbh. Its like there's finally a MacBook of Windows laptop then they ruin it themselves LOL
