Hi, mine upgraded almost 1month now, but i dint get full 500mbps with Cat 5e and if i gonna to 5hz wifi will reach 250mbps if not on my pc and normal wifi only 100mbps, i saw someone near my area have a post here, but can get full 500mbps.

Just had a chat with live chat, no other options we have, only RM129 100mbps at the moment.

Anyway, how's the 800mbps? is it underutilised? would like to hear more from other users of the 500/800mbps users.

Hi sifus, I'm not too familiar with all these connection IT stuffs and would like to ask something about the latest unifi Turbo.

I just have been turbo'd by TM to upgrade from 50mb to 500mb. However, when i tested my speed, seems like the fastest download and upload speed I can get is around 90mbps (using wifi).

Currently I'm using the following model:

Router: ONU-HUAWEI-HG8240w (provided by TM)
Wireless N router: TL-WR841HP (purchased by myself for wider coverage)

Hence, would like to know is my router and wifi router compatible for the 500mbps provided by TM? If no, do TM offer to change their provided router for free?

Well, there's a shopee sale coming up at midnight. So I'm planning to get a new router. But will that help? The DIR-842 really disconnect a lot already lel. Even then, I already maxed it out XD. If it doesn't disconnect, I don't mind getting it. But at the moment, it just kept disconnecting on 2.4Ghz also. I talked with TM tech and they said everything is good and found out that i already maxed out the settings. So TP-LINK was my other option to get. But Tenda is tempting for its price range. That's why I'm confused.

I did. and It's disconnects quite often. Using the DIR-842 C2 version. I wonder what if i updated the firmware to 3.10 via D-LINK website? Is it okay to update to that firmware?

I placed it near my staircase which covers the whole house. After restart, it seems stable again. I guess the CPU overloaded?

I just subscribed Unifi 100mbps and given with D-Link 842 router.

However, using wifi 2.4ghz I am only able to get about 30-50bmps dl & ul.
By using 5ghz also similar as the signal is weak (1-2 bar only).

I am using TP Link AC1900 Archer T9e wireless card for my desktop.
The distance between my room (2nd floor) and router (1st floor) is about 5m and with a wall.

Is the under performance is due to the router?

Will I able to boost my wifi to 100mbps if I getting a router like Asus 68U or 86U?

anyone here know the default password for dlink dir-842 c2 ?
