QUOTE(OOKAS @ Apr 26 2019, 10:28 AM) No matter which solution you use, you will not get full speed as you just stand next to the router. Also don't forget the client (your device) WiFi's specs does affect the final speed as well. For mesh WiFi, maybe you can consider TP-Link Deco M9 Plus. I see.. so i should just downgrade my internet instead since i cant fully utilize the speed.. Because i cant pull cable around it will be too messy. |

i dont really look into the placement of router until i did change the location and i get double the speed at my 2nd storey which i can reach 500mbps at 2nd storey now. and thank God it saves my dilemma and money to get a mesh for my 2nd storey.

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Jul 6 2020, 01:36 PM) Plan speed only 100mbps but i need stable speed for streaming from my pc to TV. Only looking at ax50 or ax20 since got promo it is very cheap. And also my ac68u abit on the hot side. QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 6 2020, 01:36 PM) I see.. then i shall aim for this ax20. But bro i see ax50 speed much faster like 2x at 5ghz, still ax20 better ka? Intel chipset newer but the broadcom older. This post has been edited by ben3003: Jul 6 2020, 07:09 PM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ May 15 2021, 10:24 AM) Perhaps I can chip in why AX seems to perform worst on 2.4Ghz on consumer routers. Bro, does this disable wireless AX for 2.4ghz will make 2.4ghz band more stable? I see if most device like those wifi smart plug and mostly 2.4ghz line will utilize only wireless N right? since wireless AC needs 5ghz.802.11AX introduced 1024QAM on 2.4Ghz, which is more prone to interference. This means performance on 802.11N devices will be worst. However, AX devices will perform better as they support 1024QAM which compensated for the loss in performance resulted by worst interference. This is an issue on all AX routers irregardless of the brand. A simple solution is to just disable AX mode for the 2.4Ghz channel. |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jun 9 2021, 09:34 AM) I believe TP-Link Archer AX20 was one of the best value for money Wifi 6 router you could get. Currently I'm using it and I'm happy with it. Prior to this, I was using a Huawei router and it just really left a bad taste for me. 2nd to this, if ur internet speed is 100mbps only, better just get this, so far no complain and so much better than my china sourced tmobile Ac1900 ( a86u equivalent). |

wanna check, does the TP-Link OneMesh system half the bandwidth available like wat normal range extender does?
and guys how do you normally test ur local wifi speed? i mean the communication between router and PC. cos my line 100mbps only, max also can test 100mbps, but i wanna test like using Plex media player for my TV, which requires much higher bitrate.
