Hi, im looking another router to be connected to my main router, archer c7.. should i buy the same model? Or other model that has good bridging function?

To expand the wireless range.. right now, im using c7 as main router and c20 as repeater (using bridging function).. wifi coverage is good but c20 has hardware limitation and cannot utilize unifi 500mbps..

my issue with the router was not rebooting, but losing the 5Ghz wifi. this is after keeping it on more than a week. had to reboot it once every two weeks to get around this

Hi currently my plan is unifi 300mbps, stock router from tm (tp link ac1200)

Recently found out that my PC (in room) cannot detect the wifi. Even if connect, keep showing no internet access / troubleshoo showing "DNS server isn't responding". I never do any setup on router or my pc.

Oh ya, even i connect wifi with my phone (oneplus 5) in room, same distance as PC, the connection is really weak until like 0.5-0.8mbps!

My pc is about 20ft away from router. Pc using tp-link tl-wn727n (is it call wifi adapter?).

Was thinking to get some additional tool to enhance the wifi connection in my room and behind (dining room which about 25ft away from router). I'm sorry i don't know what it supposed to call technically, repeater? Wifi extender? Or?

Would appreciate if someone here could guide and recommend what tool to use?

Alright will read it shortly. But, hypptv is working. At living room (router is here), wifi is working (phn can hit 60-80mpbs).

But my concern is, when Im near the router, LAN and wifi is work. But when in room (20ft away from router), phone hardly to connect wifi, pc with wifi adapter langsung can't work with wifi.

From earlier advise, you said that it probably router issue (tm given one -  tplink ac1200). In this case, I think better change router. But regret i have no time to study most disccusing brands in this forum (tp link, dlink, tenda asus etc) because I cannot tahan room has no internet access. Hence would appreciate if anyone could advise which router is suitable for me:
No require maximum speed but can reach my room with about 50-80mpbs im satisfy enough. Mainly wife and me watch videos via phone, pc and laptop only when in room.
I think I will exclude tplink since heard that tplink's after sales service/ update firmware is bad.
Perhaps will consider budeget around 200++

after i set my dlink modem in bridge mode to ip address of 192.168.1.2, it is shown as IP address of 0.0.0.0 in my ZTE modem status

and my laptop which connect to Dlink through wifi is shown as IP address of 192.168.1.6 with LAN1 connection, instead of wifi.

Hi, i just bought tp link c2300. Need advice on below:

1. Smart Connect
- i turn on smart connect but 2 of my phone samsung s7 and note 5 auto connect @ 2.4ghz instead of 5g most of the time. Ipad is auto connect @ 5ghz.
Any idea why it does not connect @ 5ghz, all in same room with 1 wall.

2. I place the router in middle 1st floor, i notice that coverage in ground floor signal for 5ghz is not good, < 50mb. Is it normal 5ghz not good to cover 2 storey for different floor? (2.4ghz coverage is good even in ground floor.

How smart connect work? I'm using DIR-882, when i enable my smart connect. my phone will took more than 15 seconds to connect to WiFi, can see that the phone connect, and disconnect few times before connect to the WiFi.

Need expertise's input. I'm currently on unifi 100mbps with stock router DIR 842.
My issue is i'm having a weak signal in my master bedroom where I do my gaming (ps4).

Signal is better if i put the router slightly in the middle of the aisle towards my room but kind of an eyesore. Should i go for a better router or powerline would help in my case? Any brand to recommend with budget <rm400

Thanks for your reply bro. What would be the ideal budget then? Honestly, don't mind to spend a bit but I'm afraid that it wont solve the issue. Will I be able to put the new router in the living room and have a stable 5ghz signal in my master bed? My house is just a 1000sqft condo. Appreciate your comment
