All 3 of us are in the computer room.

The reviews look good. Will install the 2nd pack in the computer room & the 3rd pack upstairs.

Will plug the 1st pack onto the homeplug to see what are the homeplugs speed like...

Thanks bro.

It works!!! i use the wizard to setup and quite simple. Now have 2 different SSID to use in my house.

But somehow i found the internet response become slower even when i connect to my ZTE modem. once it manage to contact the website, i'm getting the internet speed i subscribe to, but first contact with the website looks very slow, is it because of the bridge or interference from 2 SSID signals?

And with or without DHCP is the same for me, what is the difference actually?
my Dlink setup, can i use 192.168.1.1? it is same as my ZTE modem
[attachmentid=10148063]

Hi, for the DHCP, it will have more IP Address.

Thanks.

my ZTE modem is using 192.168.1.1 as the gateway address or as DHCP server address.
but right now my Dlink model which set as bridge mode connect to ZTE model port1 also set its router IP address as 192.168.1.1. Will this create any conflict?
*
Best to change to 192.168.0.2
After cannot access router settings.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I was tinkering around with my router to use Google ipv6 DNS but I did not make a copy of the previous settings.

Is this setting right if I want to use Google ipv6 DNS?

Router is TP-Link Archer C1200.
*
Yes. It is correct.

Tick the box which mention PPPOE same session with IPv4 connection.

Select DHCPv6 option from Get IPv6 address.

Thanks.

Got it! Thanks so much! biggrin.gif

EDIT:
Doesn't seem to be working. I'm not getting the IPv6 tag when I post here in the forums and ipv6test.google.com is saying I don't have IPv6. My router does say it is connected to IPv6 though.

Where did I do wrong?
*
Try to restart your router or try to select different options below.
Try to change the LAN Assigned type.

Thanks.

Rebooted. Tried DHCPv6 on the Assigned LAN type. Same thing.

Try 2nd or 3rd option.

You're using TIME right?

Thanks.

Hi

I am currently live in a high rise building with a 50mbps package. I doubt TM will upgrade anytime soon. What simplest, inexpensive, router i can use? Was looking at Tenda 10U.  My stock router is Networks from TM (quite old) and the performance has been bad lately. I am planning to upgrade to TIME later but for now need to use UNIFI.

Thanks
*
Hi, you can buy Tenda AC10U for your needs.

Do refer to your PM TIME Fibre.

Thanks.

Hi guys, I would like to seek some advise or recommendation. I am currently staying double story terrace house. My unifi upgraded to 800mb so I hope to be able to get speed to whole house.

Currently I am still using the given tm c1200 and it is located at the corridor of 1st floor. The centre of the house. Currently I have 2 cable running to desktop on the 1st floor. I have a repeater wa850re downstair that link to android box and TV.

Few question
1. Does changing to better router will increase the coverage
2. Which is better choice between aimesh by Asus vs those like tplink deco m9

Thanks
*
Hi,
1. Change router will improve the speed and coverage.
2. For TP-Link M9 PLUS, I'm not sure about the compatibility support of Unifi TV.

Thanks.

Hi, you may get the TP-Link C3150.
If you can top up more RM 250. You can get the TP-Link C5400X.

TP-Link Archer C3150
TP-Link Archer C5400X

Thanks.

Thanks for the recommendation on device. base on what u said about mesh only support 500mb... so i guess u recommend to change router is a better choice. will it improve the coverage compare to c1200
*
Yes, changing router is a better choice.
It will improve the coverage.

You may ask this guy SilentVampire as he is using C3150.
I'm using TIME and using own router instead of stock router.
C1200 cannot tahan with 800Mbps. I'm using 500Mbps, always got disconnection.

Thanks.

Thanks ... may i know what is the different for the model u recommend since the price i see quite a difference.

You mean C3150 vs C5400X?

C5400X can handle more bandwidth and it is a gaming router.
C5400X is the latest and have more RAM.
C5400X is Tri-band router while C3150 is dual band router.
C5400X have 8 ports instead of 4 Ports in which normally you see on normal routers.
If you play heavy games then go for C5400X.
C5400X coverage and speed is better than C3150.
C5400X can cover 2 storey house well, for C3150 can cover, signal will be lower.
Get the C5400X so you don't need keep buying new router again in the future.
I'm using AC1900. Might upgrade later. C5400X is more newer.

Thanks.

I suggest the C3150 V2. The C5400x is really good, bur if you have an average sized house, the C3150 is more than sufficient. Remove the repeater from your network as it does not help much.
Cheers for the tag. Your C9 ia still working well? No point changing if it is. Might as well wait for the AX models.
*
You're welcome.
My C9 still working good.
You have a good memory as you remember that I have Archer C9.

Will wait for AX. Afraid not compatible with AC.

Thanks
