exactly, no point to drill down further on the compromises and they are known to fit the justifications for the USD200 in price tag. At the end of the day, Apple does not release products that are totally not acceptable to majority even it is the cheapest in lineup.

If there are not compromises at all, no brainers that everyone would have gone for XR without thoughts.

yes, ultimately it is deepness of one' s pocket to decide one's choice and not Apple.
It is more of a mismatch of expectations vs buying power instead.

All YouTube videos will upscale to 1080p for the 326 PPI panels. It does so today for the iPhone 6, 7 and 8.

good to hear that. i also feel the display is perfectly fine.
apple's display is always top notch that i have no concern at all too. 

just there are still many crucifying the display all the time. haha.

still find that red and black are the best overall colours.

however red is not my cup of tea. black is nice but may not be able to show off haha.

will consider the colours again since i am still waiting for promo before i do an early recontract to replace my SE with XR. 
i like the blue colour but the side is really pale. hope in real it is ok.
