Apparently, the Spanish newspaper, Marca, thanked Ferrari for yesterday's victory, stating :-
"Thanks, Ferrari! Your double victory prevented Hamilton from extending his lead too much more" http://www.f1i.com/content/view/7726/1/ ....and people talk about British press bias !!! Alonso making noise again. Something about he'll let Lewis won this weekend since it's Lewis's home GP. This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jul 3 2007, 03:11 PM |

I think Alonso doesnt need to "let" Lewis win. Lwis is even more than capable of winning without the "permission" of Alonso... pfft!

no it's not the same story, ferrari lead at the beginning of this season, they only lost it starting from monaco.
yeah, lewis is capable to win at silverstone by himself. but do you think alonso would let him win without a fight ? as everybody knows he's a sore loser .. hAhaha This post has been edited by blah1134: Jul 3 2007, 04:06 PM |

`McLaren want Lewis to win in Britain` Tuesday 3rd July 2007 QUOTE The British GP isn't here yet and already Fernando Alonso is complaining that he will have to hand the victory to team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton's rise to the top of Formula One has been credited with increased sales for Sunday's British GP and nothing would please the British public more than having a British winner at the Silverstone race. However, according to Alonso, it may be McLaren's dream result as well as the team is a British outfit. "I think that, yes, they will prefer that (Hamilton winning) and I don't think there will be any argument," he told The Sun. "We will be in England and we have a Spanish driver and an English driver and the Englishman is leading the Championship. "So if he wins, it will help the team more." The Spaniard, though, is hoping that after the British GP is over, the team-mate battle at McLaren will return to a level playing field and that McLaren will be rooting for him to win races. "The team wanted me to win in Barcelona and they will want Hamilton to win at Silverstone," he concluded. "I hope things will get back to being how they were in Barcelona." http://www.planetf1.com |
