QUOTE(NikkiDaTeddy @ May 4 2011, 05:48 PM) Thanks for sharing. Good job on reading all the pages. Cos there are 100 over pages now. During my time was only 20 pages. haha, yeah! so you know, it was crazy during reading.. as far as my progress is concerned, im having an elastic for my side tooth to come out. and according to Dr Raymond, my next appointment, the elastic can be taken off and he will use some sort of wire to make my alignment stays firm. not sure what kind of wire that is. anyway, nikki, does the doctor said when can you debrace? |

its a bit pricey. it din count tooth by tooth right? for the whole set of your teeth right?
i had wisdom tooth surgery before my braces also. extraction RM 80, and surgery, RM 800. but maybe he feels that im pity, and he just quoted me RM 800 instead of RM 880. and not to forget CT scan, RM 150 for that. he said im his in house patient. so he jz discounted 50% for me :'( don need to be nervous, it eventually will be okay! best wishes QUOTE(deadangel @ May 10 2011, 01:51 PM) |

haha, i had ulcer before as well. use dental wax, it helps a lottttt!! actually, a lot of things you can eat. like, tofu, fish, egg(all type of egg, fried egg, steam egg, etc), kui tiao, mi hun, mee, spaghetti, milk, juices, etc) my fav food since nov till now is FISH and TOFU! haha!! oh ya, i used to drink fresh blended fruit juice as well. coz "telan" is not good for stomach, hard to digest and it turns out, i faced constipation. after drinking juices, oh great! my life is back to normal! haha! know what. after i went braces, straight away i need to take photo for some sort of application. then only i realised, i dont know to smile with braces. and no doubt, my photos came out extremely ugly because of my weird mouth/smile.. fion@gem How's Orthodontics & Dental Surgery 64-1 Jalan Telawi Bangsar Baru, 59100, Kuala Lumpur Tel: 03-22845529/016-3365529 deadangel why do you need screw? is it because you have gummy smile? normally screw was installed together with the braces or doctor will see if I need it or not during my braces progress? |

big sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i went to dr how today, was rescheduled to today, from 18.5.. and dr how basically repositioned all brackets of mine, and put back the wire, and in the middle of the process, dr how asked if my concern is, to extract teeth or not to extract. i said, yea! and he said, i have open bite, and what he can do is, try to reposition all the brackets and see how my teeth go.. if at last, this still cannot be changed, i might need to extract my tooth/teeth.. sighhh.. i don wish my healthy teeth to be sacrifised again >.<i feel veryx100 sore right now! hope the sore goes off within 2 days! T_T by the way, my inner elastic is off.. and photos had been taken today.. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh |

im not sure if he is doing the best already. coz it seems like the problem is not on his skill, is on my teeth, after he repositioned :'( i go and search about open bites. normally open bites need to correct by jaw surgery.. n it seems scary. i hope my teeth go well, teeth ar teeth, gambate!
this is the inner elastic. one of my teeth arent up right. doctor made some sort of "bracket" inside, and hang an elastic there.. upper to inner.. so i call it inner elastic.. so good.. how long hv you been braced and when are you going to debrace? i still have a really long way to go T_T
QUOTE(Shenay @ May 14 2011, 07:00 PM) FOnte, its only like the first 1-3days after tightening you find yourself not being able to eat hard food. After that I'm perpetually eating anything, so don't worry ! However, hard biscuits I try to avoid & also I can't eat apple by just biting it. Got to cut into pieces first. So don't worry ! On a side note, I'm feeling really happy today because I took out the old pictures Dr How gave me and I see a quite huge improvement ! Definitely gotta be better when I de-brace ! Excited Added on May 14, 2011, 10:25 pmthere's an orthodontics at megan avenue(Ampang), David Specialist Orthondontics. http://www.orthodontics.com.my/ not sure if you are saying about this. Is anyone here facing open bite? and i would like to know how Dr might cure it..thanks QUOTE(Mollai @ May 13 2011, 01:40 PM) I'm from KL. i went to clinic today with my cousin as she wants to have braces consultation. and i had my wire cut too. then i asked Dr Raymond, how long is my treatment left. and he said, for my open bite case, might need one year and three months. so sad T_T.. so it will be 18 months, counted with his expectation.
