mengher, i m fine, thanks. not really worry about the screw. just worry that will it easily got infection or what. will it be hard to take care of? n about teeth condition. i don really care now. coz i don wan to extract any more teeth.i cannot afford to lose them will just see what dr how can do. definitely not extracting.

mataharih, we had braces around the same time mine is 9 Nov 2010 and also read all the comments here n decided to go for dr how.hehe

anyway, you are right! after doctor extracted my teeth, my face is sunken in too. my dad had been complaining that my face is quite ugly as it sunken in a lot after the extraction!! oh gosh, i never thought it is a problem until you said so. and dr how suggested me to have extracted two lower tooth too. he also focus on how my mouth should look. he said that, a pretty face should have a "S" shape under the mouth area. if i extracted two more, i can achieve that n i will be prettier! if i chose not to extract, and he said he can do also, just that the finish look would not be the perfect look as he thought. he asked me to apply screw for gummy smile. and that screws can help to make mouth to achieve that "s" shape too(he said so)

what i was thinking is that, since the screws could help both upper and lower, why bother extract my innocent tooth. i was thinking i'd made a wrong decision to extract my two upper tooth during last june

but regret not gonna help. it happened. and now, i chose not to extract anymore!

which tooth dr asked u to extract?

same oh. dr asked me to extract upper forth tooth from centre. and lower fifth tooth from centre.

just done the screws thing. there are bigger than i thought. and dr keep reminding me to make sure the area of screw is clean. just to avoid infection. sigh. and dr how said, even if screws are installed, my gummy smile wont cure 100%, ask me to have preparation.

not painful, but i feel weird..haha.. he din mention bout ur gummy smile? then what's ur problem? did he mention that how long ur screws gonna be there?

my screw area is pain. i think there's an ulcer here. a really big one. is that normal?or the screw is loose?

i don think keep going review on 3 weeks time can make the progress faster. somemore, i have never had 3 weeks gap for review.mostly, 4-8 weeksi keep going to review on time. and i still need 2 years. haha. it all depends on your own progress. dr cannot predict accurately actually. he can only say, 1.5-2 years..

i got rubber n spring. n screws

yesterday was my braces first anniversary with me. time flies.. and i went to clinic yesterday, was attend by a chinese lady dentist. she is very new i think. i don like her =/.. dr how was rude or wht, but at least he is professional and has bunch of experiences. but she.. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. i was so worried when she put the new wire into my bracket and because of the pulling, my teeth will drop just because of that.

all in all, i don feel good with her service.. too bad. i understand that she is new..just that, this is the teeth we r talking, that only to have it once in our life. sighhhhhhhhh..

anyway, dr how said that i look prettier already, all the teeth go in and now using rubber band to pull lower teeth inward and upward. of coz, the rubber band get attached along with the screws.. seems scary, but afterall, its fine too. hopefully the screws wont loose because dr how did mention that i don hv the bone either, it might get loose one day!

at least its better than mine, just past the first anniversary, that means, at least another one yr to go. sigh!

i just went there today and the clinic was WOW!! incredibly nice!

is there a new orthodontics ? Dr Lim? he was the one who fixed my bracket loose and some other thing. is he good? What about Dr Raymond?

i don like Dr Lim either. he just pulled out my wire LIKE THAT and i nearly cry! this is the first time ever i felt that pain! just because of bracket loose! and he is not professional at all i guess. agree with u guys, though Dr How is rude, but at least he is professional and he will try to ease the pain to the fastest speed! but dr lim, keep dragging and dragging! is he new? those helpers are too much! some even goyang kaki while i was lying there suffering pain. i felt quite annoying. if they have nothing to do other than seeing and looking, at least NOT GOYANG KAKI gua! seem not professional at all! zzz.. i asked the receptionist if dr how was there, they said yes, then only i go n fix my loose bracket. but when i entered the room,and see a stranger face, i was like, oh damn. kena trapped again! phew!

i guess my next visiting wont be Dr Lim. because i remembered the gal at the counter told me, i shall come back after 6 weeks. then she changed. she said, 4 weeks la. coz u need to see Dr How. LOL..

my face slim down a lot too! not only eating less. sometimes because lazy to clean food being stuck between the brackets, and i jz give up eating.haha

i would say that's normal.haha.

my gaps arent close yet too. i had my extraction on last june. so it has been 9 months now T_T
