for the xray, RM 80 per piece, you are require to take 3 pieces of xray which cost RM 240.
mould RM 50, photo RM 50.
as for this part, you will require to pay RM 340.

consultation fees RM 50. if you decided on the spot, it can be waived.

and for the bonding, the nurses asked me to pay RM 1500 first.

you better go to dr how's clinic and ask the nurse personally. the nurses there are helpful. they can explain to you thoroughly!

a week later, i will have to go for my review already. quite scare this time. coz during my last review, dr how said that i might need extraction again. i don hope any healthy tooth to be extracted again! they are precious for me ..sob sob! hope my teeth go well

i had no transport at first. i had few for my options. ampang avenue-DR David, times square-Dr rueben, and at last, i chose for dr how in telawi..take putra lrt to bangsar station, and catch a cab to jalan telawi which cost you about RM 4.xx per way!

i didnt choose dr david at last because, he wanted me to remove the tooth beside my tiger tooth. i don like the hole there. and same goes to dr rueben. when comes to dr how. after the xray all those, he said he will remove my last tooth instead! and suddenly, i feel okay with that extraction although i still feel, healthy tooth shouldnt be extracted. "bak bak hei sang"

the one im using is LOTUS oh. RM 6000 for the treatment. i guess the price is same with damon i guess. dr how just chose lotus for me and said that lotus is faster and effective than damon. so i guess i will hv to trust him..haha! the price comes with retainer, according to the nurse.

wow, price increased again? i dont know what's the difference between them. doc how only said, lotus is faster!

im not sure if lotus comes with transparent one..coz im using lotus metal instead.

transparent/ceramic is not worth for me. coz it incurs another cost, and it only ceramic for upper few tooth only(maybe 6-8). and lower teeth, all use metal one.. and i read from this forum saying that ceramic has slower effect and it is easily broken. somemore, since i'd decided to have braces, i don mind using the one which is so obvious to everyone!

after six months of my treatment, i thought i can be done within a year also(altogether a year and half). coz i've seen that my teeth are so straight as compared to last time. i tot my treatment period has almost come to the end, just for another year. who knows. suddenly my problem pops up with, OPEN BITE! and dr raymond said it has another one yr and 3 months to go ..sighhhhhhhhhhhhh...it seems like not much difference for another one yr and one yr and three months. but ( there's still difference there! during my first consultation, dr how said my treatment needs 1.5-2 years! coz my case is quite hard to do(According to him)

if comparing dr how and dr raymond, dr how is a bit impatient and rude. maybe like you all said, he has a lot of patients waiting out there. but still, patience is very important somehow ..

i wonder what i can chat with dr how. sigh!

2.5 years is really long:(. i hope i don need to undergo that.. btw, im leaving the country for 4 months in september. i wonder what dr how can do to my teeth, and im sure, my treatment period sure gotta be extended again! sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........

dr how just say to think if he wants to extract my tooth, but nv say how to cure my open bite.. argh.

if don extract, what can you/dr how do?

i always greet him when i went into the room and sat down. progress of the teeth. just saying a bit, then he started to do his stuff(Changing wires, reposition, etc), then. no more jor wo! sigh..

maybe he can make my progress faster a bit? haha?!!?!?!?!

normally when does power chain being used? about how many months of braces later only will start to use power chain?

bad news, dr how thinks that i have to extract two tooth..because i "sha ya". upper and lower tooth difference of 7mm. can don extract, but need to wear a lot of rubber bands and also SCREWS. when i heard of screws(pain, cost, hard to take care), i said i don wan the screws! and even if putting in screws and rubber bands, the gaps can only minimized to 3mm-4mm. sigh!

no matter how, i will have to undergo that extraction. late or early, still extraction. so, tmr, 1500, im going to extract two tooth! damn, i dont know if i made the right decision. another two healthy tooth will be gone !

i jz had my teeth removed today! so damn brave. dr raymond did the great job too.

i went to the clinic again, simply because my upper wire poking me and my lower wire pokes into my gum(no pain).

and then after dr how check it, he decided to change wire for me. upper and lower together. 16-25. i heard. its so thick now.. and maybe he is running out of time, as their available time today is 1130-1230, he is very "rude", i feel damn painnnnnnnnnnnnn (.

and i have to wear parrot elastic to close my gap, for both side.. and he cannot assure that i wont need extraction again. he said have to depend on my profile.. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

someone mentioned that the nurse burnt the bracket right? yesterday the nurse did asked if she needs to burn the bracket, and dr said yes. i guess same thing happened. but mine is not that dark. is just like a slightly brown. its not significant though.

i didnt ask dr about the price for the screws. maybe you can read from previous post. they do mention about it.

of coz.. marry with beautiful smile and teeth ..how nice .hehe!! since dr estimated for 1.5 yrs, shld hv go for it ma.. and i dont know read from where, if you want to take them off for 1-2 days, u can have the dr to do so. dr can understand de.. )

guys, how do you guys notice that the jaw is more preferable to other side?by looking at the teeth midline? or??

how come its so expensive until RM 7k? is it because its Damon?

my braces price 6000 include retainer.

the ceramic one, only upper few is ceramic oh. lower all also metal one.

it was RM 6500 for ceramic last time. somemore, ALL also ceramic one instead of half ceramic, half metal.

i just had review two days ago. had change the upper wire and using even thicker rubber band(bear).doc has to make the hook himself for me to put on the rubber band. its so cute..haha! and im now using 8 ring power chain for lower teeth to close the gap. at first i m thinking, finally i can start using power chain, but then doc gave me bad news again. coz i myself realised that lower teeth got bit moving forward. they r nolonger straight. doc only put power chain to it n close the gap see if there are still facing forward. if they are still facing forward, i might need extraction again. but he said its up to me. if i think its acceptable to have it a bit facing forward, he will be fine too! at least this time, i have got a choice!

n i went to the clinic today again. coz i found out that two of the brackets are not locked well. the clip is not locked. went back and dr raymond locked it for me. and he explained very detail to me how come my upper teeth and lower teeth cannot meet each other. because i used to have cross bite for back lower teeth. to correct it, my upper and lower teeth cannot meet each other for quite a long time. but they will eventually meeting each other la! time matters! and he said my upper teeth are moving backward already. is not that "sha ya" already. he said the decision of extraction is a wise decision(of coz wise, my teeth are sacrified :'( and he said the gap between my upper and lower teeth are getting closer already! which is a good thing!

its not as uncomfortable as reposition though! much more comfortable..haha! but i think this 8 ring power chain doesnt mean my teeth are straight already la. normally ppl use it when their teeth are finally straight and almost at the end of the treatment. sigh! well, better than none, i guess!

just went for review three days ago.

dr how gave me a bad news again.

he said it would better if i extract two teeth from lower part :(but if i don wanna extract this time, he can try to do something, but the effect is not very perfect. and he said i have gummy smile. i have to put screws too. two biji, as he said! and the screw can also adjust my lower part of teeth too.

guess, i wont have any extraction anymore, because i only have 26 teeth with me currently. if i extract two again, i will only have 24 biji (

mind sharing with the screw thing? easily get effected? pain? etc? dr said, 30 second, it will be done!
