I'm so angry... Was suppose to go for my appt today. Due to distance and schedule, I would take half day leave everytime just to go for the appt.
When I reach the clinic, the nurses told me doctor is not in due to his last minute trip to oversea. I don't blame the doctor cos I know he us a busy man. But the nurse!!! They didn't inform me. Is not like I live next to the clinic you know.... Urgh,,,, so upset. And this is not the first time that this had happened.... |

QUOTE(karynkhoo @ Nov 10 2010, 12:01 AM) -damon 3 and in-ovation c are different brands for self-ligating braces In-ovation is available wit metal brackets or ceramic bracket. The in-ovation C is ceramic.-self-ligating braces can be from different material; metal or ceramic. ceramic is near to teeth colour hence will look like transparent from far However, If I'm not mistaken, there Is also another type of ceramic braces that is not in-ovation. And this type of ceramic braces is consider the older type of braces and many find this system slow. Oh by the way, I visited dr how's clinic today to fix a fallen (again ) bracket. Apparently dr how is busy and another dr fixed it for me. Probably is dr Raymond that u talked abt? He is quite gentle. I dint feel any pain while he 'clip' in the wire.... |

QUOTE(Shenay @ Nov 10 2010, 05:39 PM) hahaha ah so that was Dr Raymond? He's quite a nice person & keeps trying to minimize my pain. And always says sorry when he knows its gonna hurt so bad. He changed some brackets and tightened my braces yesterday too. its the separator or donut. It to create space between teeth so that the rest of the teeth can move...btw peeps, you know the blue hard rubber band that he inserted between your back teeth ? what exactly is it for yea. one of mine dropped off previously but dr how said nvm. today another one came off too, tried to fix it back on but failed. I mean, he did say nevermind but of course I'm worried if it affects anything. Thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(tomatonz @ Oct 28 2010, 08:58 PM) Dr Raymond glued one of my loose bracket on too... I am wondering who Dr Raymond is also... He glued my bracket at my front teeth that day. This morning, i found out that my teeth got worse, crooked and its longer than the other....Added on October 29, 2010, 9:36 amI heard from my friend who had her veneers done by Dr Raymond that he has really nice set of teeth (wore braces before) but I did not get to see them because he was wearing face mask... Has anyone seen his teeth? My next appt is 2 weeks later...Should i wait until then... Added on November 11, 2010, 9:11 am QUOTE(pikeydude @ Nov 11 2010, 09:06 AM) It sounds like you guys are taking the normal bracket and not the Damon type? Just curious, because I didn't undergo all these steps... Damon type need to go thru these steps also. That depends on the condition of ones teeth. U need not to put in the donuts probably bcos your teeth have enuff space to move. This post has been edited by NikkiDaTeddy: Nov 11 2010, 09:11 AM |

QUOTE(karynkhoo @ Nov 11 2010, 11:00 AM) Last week Dr How repositioned 1 bracket for me, on the same day, i found tat it got worse, bcame more crooked. I waited for 1 week for the tooth to stabilize and i went to adjust it again yesterday, although my next appointment is 2 weeks later. I think better don't readjust immediately, will be very painful and that tooth will bcome sensitive, i experience that b4, too much adjustments in too short period of time. I think 1 week gap should b ok. Thanks for the advice. Actually i experienced the pain that u mentioned also. My worried is that too much changes even after 2-3 days.I scared if i wait til my appt, the condition will be even worse. |

QUOTE(cutegal0886 @ Nov 15 2010, 09:43 AM) Self-ligating system are available in metal also ceramic. Whether which are better, well according some of our seniors here, for damon system, metal works better than ceramic. Where else for GAC In-Ovation, ceramic works as well as damon metal. That's why when it comes to ceramic, many opt for GAC In-Ovation C.For more information, i think its better for you to consult doctor. Cos we are not experts. Hope that helps. |

QUOTE(cutegal0886 @ Nov 15 2010, 03:05 PM) just another question... As for me, my wisdom tooth was half way out before wearing braces. Den the wisdom tooth slowly pop out as when i'm on the treatment, then doctor decided to remove both my upper wisdom tooth. Cos they are growing too long and end up biting myself.i asked few doctor about braces... some ask me take our the wisdom teeth b4 wearing braces, some said no need ... can wear braces with wisdom teeth... so which one is better? Actually the set of bracket for your treatment does not include for wisdom tooth. So removing them before or during treatment wont affect much... |
