I actually like the fact that with GCam, I usually don't have to post process my photos as extensively (at least for social media), at least in terms of exposure. Of course, the price you pay for that is fine detail and definition ler as the cloud HDR butchers both while exposure crunching.

And sometimes the results you get just looks "wrong" lol, but this is becoming more and more infrequent.

I do understand though that not everyone likes that "evened out" HDR "look", or the definition cost of getting it.

Though some may claim that pictures taken with the stock camera are over exposed, over saturated, I still feel its better over the 'bland' look of the pictures taken by the GCam. But then again this is all personal choice.

True. Like I said, not everyone favours the GCam's "look". Plus it's not perfectly suited for every situation either, as much as Google is trying to convince us otherwise... brows.gif

When it DOES work well, it does help make things more convenient though... at least for those who are okay with the results.

I'm encountering the same problem with my Op6, apparently it only happens with Waze.

A simple workaround is to enable Advanced Battery Optimization.

Settings > Battery >Battery Optimization > Advanced Optimization (3 dots on the upper right corner)
LINK

I hope this helps.

Nah, I'm actually gonna just weather it out with the 6 lol. Let's let somebody else take over with the 6T, coz TBH I actually don't have much interest in the 6T myself.

Why? The entire combo of features it brings just isn't appealing to me at all lol.

In a way, I'm more a "OnePlus 6" then a "OnePlus" fan lol.

Will I be participating in the 6T discussions though? Maybe, if I have something relevant to say, but mainly I'm just gonna keep prattling around here instead.

Err, we no longer have the "Clear Cache" one touch button as in Android Oreo anymore? So how can I clear cache like last time in Android P? Any solution to do that? Thanks

You have too. If you check out the other OP threads, all the models and their T models are combined into one thread. Just update the first page and the title and let the chat continue.

Hi all, relatively new OP6 user here. Obligatory disclaimer that I am not very familiar with lowyat nor am I familiar with the lingo for OP6.

Anyway I live in Sarawak and for the most part I have difficulty finding screen protectors for OP6, I do not wish to order them online as I prefer to have the screen protectors applied by the people working in the mobile accessories shop for ease of mind.

My question is, is there a more common device that has similar screen dimensions to the OP6? Would be very grateful if someone could direct me to this.

Thanks.

Just order one online and bring to the phone shop to help you apply. Actually it's not that difficult to apply, plus most of the time you can apply it better than the shop, since the shop won't take their time applying it perfectly

Apparently, with changes to Pie, manual cleaning of cache "that way" has been deemed obsolete, as I think Android does cleaning more effectively in its own now. I don't actually agree (though TBH even the effectiveness of manual cache cleaning has been up in the air ever since Nougat - user choice has always been my preference) but yeah that's how they're playing it.

Yeah, you'll probably have to go through recovery if you still wanna manually clean cache IINM.
