The input support QC 3.0 only, other will become normal charging. Unless you're using the S1 series which support ONLY dash.
*
hmm... strange, i brought M1 recently....see the menu it support 3 type of charging Baozu charging with 24w, 9v/2a charging (i believe is QC3.0) and also 5v/2a (I believe is standard charging) hmm.gif

I have ask this with the seller last time and they only mentioned available input just QC 3.0 and normal charging. Never really check the leaflet inside the packaging box.

My first unit is defected on the 2nd last blink light that turn off within a very short time and the last blink light stayed on longer time which cannot provide me the good indication of how many juice left. Got a replacement unit for that tho.

However, they will launch a 20k mah version soon enough.
*
that what happen to me, i charge with QC3.0 it suppose to show me yellow light and blink but instead i only got white LED light then 10-15min into charging. The power bank total stop charging, LED was not even lit up or blinking. i tried with normal charging and it also did the same thing...

So i did a voltage measure on the power bank, initial it charge with 5v / 2a then few second later, it drop to 5v /0.2a then drop to 5v / 0a. Guess i had to return the defective power bank

To be fair, it should be STILL a split second slower then "conventional" FPSes, even WITH OnePlus optimisations... but faster than what we generally have at the moment.

The tech is still not up to par to conventional FPS, but at the same time OnePlus is OnePlus and they won't let a "slow" FPS out of the gate for sure.

Problem is though, will apps be updated quickly enough to take advantage of the in-screen nature of the FPS (because the app needs to "know" that the FPS is under the screen, or else it would just treat it as your typical screen touch), especially local banking apps. Last I checked even M2U still doesn't really work with the Nex S FPS.
*
In the article, seem there will be 2 finger print scanner... one is in display, another is at the back... hmm.gif

For some reason I really don't think OP will take that route, despite the rumors. Have you ever seen superfluous or redundant features on a OP phone, ever? I mean they even left out wireless charging on the 6 as they thought that Dash Charge made it less useful.

I mean, even the FPS is ONLY still there probably because the face scanner is not a secure IR depth sensor type.

I could still be wrong though lol.
*
my only wish is they would cut down the chin to size like iphone x and water droplet camera..... laugh.gif

Well it will be thinner than the OP6 at least.

Any thinner and they're gonna have to fold the display under itself, which is bonkers hard to do and is (supposedly) part of the reason why that X is so bloody expensive.

And OP has been pretty allergic to expensive manufacturing practices so far (thankfully).

Vivo V11 did it ...im assume they had found out the fomula to do it as well....if the prediction is right as some say will follow to V11 look laugh.gif

If that is true price gonna increase and batt capacity gonna decrease due to having less space… hope no redundant components
*
not sure how true is that but the article does say one plus try to do rearrangement of the internal part to fix in the finger print scanner but it will be abit thicker....not much just a little biggrin.gif

Fun fact, the similarly configured Oppo V9 (at least waterdrop-notch wise) doesn't actually have any LED lol. I just checked over the weekend.

The R17/R17 Pro hasn't come over these shores for me to check though, but assuming it isn't axed, it should be stuck somewhere in the receiver grill.

Proxy and Ambient Light sensor however, no idea. Should be somewhere around the grill, or maybe inside as well.
*
Most probably as you would mention....near the grill...i bet it is the similar design to essential phone (refer to page 3)

Essential phone sensor location

Omfg is oneplus for real… are we talking about oneplus… oneplus is removing the 3.5mm I hope this will be false

Update: I just read and its true… this will be a bad move on oneplus imho…

first u can't charge and listen on ur headphone at the same time unless u get those addapter which I don't even know works or not…

Second they will be huge lattency for games on their bluetooth device maybe upto 200 or more ms… even aptx LL is only rated upto 100ms only… bad news for gamers like me…

Haih wut happen to oneplus doh.gif

One good news is that oneplus 6 will be a gem the last phone from oneplus with headphones jack tongue.gif

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Sep 13 2018, 11:57 PM)
Well, it could be that they have IP67 to counter the loss of that jack... but yeah, this is pretty in line with what I said before about "questionable design decisions lately"... or rather being "at the mercy" of Oppo's design team.

It's sounding more and more like they are (shackled to Oppo), and whatever Carl is saying is just rationalising the fact that the phone the OP6T is gonna be based on (the R17Pro) just doesn't have a jack to begin with... and there's no real time (or resource) left to try to change that for the 6T.

Well, at least seems that I decided to get in at the best possible time then lol. RIP Jack, you will be missed... while I continue to enjoy mine happily for the foreseeable future.

Well i don feel too bad about losing the jack beside, OP did mention they will include adapter to counter to wire earbuds.... soon i believe there will be third parties that allow charging and port adapter (that would still remain to be hopeful, truly) because we are welcoming new tech like in display finger print scanner and possible ip68 rating perhaps even possible larger battery for those complain need to charge after 1 1/2 days.

For my opinion, What they should had done was to included wireless earbuds bullet v2 in it to promote their wireless campaign (wishful thinking).... laugh.gif

But with a motorized front camera or slider, it will really hinder the facial unlock process.

did you use the long press on the home screen method or gallery then set as?

the latter can work for me and it's the only method i can use now to change wallpapers. the former, when i select the wallpaper that i want, there's just nowhere to click to use it.
*
Tried both...seem work fine..... with the long press and also gallery (Gallery > Click on the pic > Set as)

First time encountered bugs in OP6. But it's not of a big deal. Does anyone has slow-mo feature skip frames in Pie? So annoying...
*
Not just this but screen off gesture using spotify also is bug....where by i only manage to skip 3 to 4 music track before it totally stop working....then i had to wake up the screen then only it work again.... sad.gif

QUOTE(maks_pain @ Oct 24 2018, 12:38 PM)
so anyone tried the latest Google Camera app from Pixel 3 here?
how is the result?
*
Op6 stock is abit over expose on the HDR mode....while google pixel color seem just right but abit sharpen then the Op6 stock.... For Portrait mode, Op6 feel kind of soft like beautify mode while Pixel kind of sharpen and harsh skin tone while background blur, Op6 seem to be less while Pixel seem to be more blur.

P/S: you don get the preview of the blur mode like Op6 have but you got back up picture of blur and non blur background

For sure i won't be changing too, i think i heard somewhere whatever optimized on 6t's camera, will be available for op6 as well. Therefore i dont see the need of changing op6, but that battery is beast  wub.gif i wonder how much extra sot can be achieved laugh.gif
*
I remember one of the reviewer mention about 6 hours SOT laugh.gif
