That's a bit hmm, I do play HI3 under recommended settings (+60 FPS summore) from time to time, zero lag here. Maybe there's something in the background messing with your HI3?

Also, do you have "battery saver" on in HI3?

BTW, new stuff just hit.

Say hello to the "Unicorn" of OP6 TGSPs: The Matte Tempered Glass.

Is it good? Well, TBH it's not perfect (I'll elaborate below), but if you're one of those funky souls who prefer matte protectors, you actually don't have much to choose from to begin with. It's either:

A) Your run-of-the-mill, thin as heck, Matte Film SP (matte ClearCoat vinyl types included)

B) The generic China supposedly "matte" TG (yeah this is actually a thing lol) with terrible cutting, edge rainbows galore and sometimes "blue light cutting" features I don't even want

C) This thing. Specifically, the Encased MagGlass Matte Tempered Glass

So, why isn't it "perfect" then?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

TL;DR: It's pretty good, but cut a bit short on the edges and a bit pricey due to limited availability. I like it though, but YMMV.

That said, Encased should really consider making a "Orzly-like" full coverage Matte TGSP, which would readily solve that pesky short edges issue (with the black frame lol).

I'd agree it's not good taken in isolation as the ONLY criteria, especially as "usage" is really pretty subjective from person to person (my "light" can be somebody else's "heavy" - plus what I've got installed/disabled will probably differ greatly from another device).

But taken in context, like with me and the comparison that I mentioned before versus similar prior usage patterns on a previous device, it MIGHT actually work rather well as ONE OF the indicators of battery life.

In most cases anyway.

Especially when its so easy to just look up SOT and compare - though again with the sheer subjective-ness of individual use cases, it's really only good as a simple point of reference.

So, AS LONG AS you're aware of the shortcomings of basing overall battery life estimations on SOT, I'd say its fine for simple comparative purposes...

... BUT, if you're taking it as the "be all end all" measure of battery life... eyyyyy, I'd say you're correct in saying that it's shouldn't be treated as such - considering just how unreliable it is from a consistency between setups/use cases point of view.

But TBH, while we're on this subject, it's actually pretty hard to cross measure battery life performance in smartphones "in-actual-use" quantifiably considering how varied the use cases are for everyone.

Like, even if you resort to benchmarks like Futuremark or something, unless you're running a clean bone stock device, what's installed (and thus is running in the BG) on your device isn't gonna be the same as another either.

Oh god. You talk too much crap. You just reply with yes instead of wasting our time reading it. If you write review, it will be terrible.

Why would anyone install a matte screen protector? Doesn't it hinder your view? Display will look horrible too.

Because not everyone likes clear screen protectors bro. Matte resists fingerprints better without needing any Oleo layer (which wears out anyway) and cuts glare and reflections (light bouncing off cellings into your eyes CAN be quite distracting TBH).

But yeah, unfortunately you pay the price in terms of screen clarity, but for me it's not that bad considering the matte-ness is actually quite tame. Besides, our screens is just FHD+ to begin with pun.

That said, like I said right there, YMMV. Personally I don't "get" Privacy Protectors either, but to each their own rite.

This, though it needs to be PURE BLACK though for this to actually work properly. Any shade of grey, even the darkest, and it doesn't work as well.

Plus black just looks cool, at least to me, and helps conserve the already limited lifespan of your organic LEDs.

Heck I even have LYN themed to black with a stylesheet lol.

Actually not that hard once you find a user stylesheet capable browser lol. Firefox mobile is one, and you just need to go to Stylish to download the relevant stylesheet for whatever website you wanna restyle.

A bit of a hassle though, and certain browsers have "inverted rendering" built in so you can use that too for lightly-themed websites if you want - but that makes LYN look a bit wonky to me lol.

I just got spigen op6 case… I think this is the best case better than original official oneplus case, I think I will buy spigen from now on thumbup.gif … malas want to try other brand!
*
Why is it better. I mean Spigens are usually good qualities but so is the original one included. I had experienced with Spigens clear type but they turn yellow after a few months use.

There's only one type of Spigen for the OP6 pun (the Rugged Armour), and after testing countless other cases, for me personally it keeps on being the case I keep going back to - if that means anything lol.

It's probably that THICC lip and the fact that this case takes falls like a boss despite not being overly bulky. Truth be known, I've been through more wipe-outs than I could count with it, across two glass backed phones, with zero damage up to now.

Then again, the design isn't anything wow at this point already as Spigen hasn't updated the "rugged" look in a looooong while (frankly it looks drab now), and that lip doesn't play nice with full coverage protectors either... so it's not without its faults.

Also the sides could use a little roughness for grip, but some sandpaper usually fixes that easily.

As for the original clear case, I don't actually have it lol because OP6Av. Instead I have the slightly over Iron Man case, which I feel is a bit too bulky and flashy to be a daily driver case.

IDK man.. nowadays I only buy the Nillkin tpu cases. Cheap and good and doesn't hide the design of the phone.

All clear case eventually will yellow but my spigen clear type I use for my note 4 only turn yellow after maybe 1.5 yrs hmm.gif

Anyway the quality of the official oneplus case not so good… I bought the rather expensive nylon from mi han…  the nylon after not much use a bit of it came off not really noticesable but can feel it with touch doh.gif its getting worst day by day similar to bag with nylon where bit by bit come off during day to day use doh.gif

I will countinie to buy oneplus phone as so far my op6 has been surperb thumbup.gif but no more oneplus case for me sad.gif
*
The only official case I bought before is the Carbon case. It was quite good though.
