Just received my self-fitment RFID purchased thru Lazada.
Wish to check anyone here with new Honda Civic fitted with RFID. Where is the preferred spot - front light or windscreen?
Just wonder the protruded chrome grill above the front light - will it effect the RFID sensor detection?
Also can i fit the RFID onto the windscreen if i am using V-Kool Elite?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

I am not sure if this will work but I would try sticking on windscreen first using transparent tape. If doesn't work, can easily remove and put it in headlight.

New Honda Civic with rfid here. Stick at windscreen, inside beneath rear view mirror. Cut a hole for the rfid . The inside rfid is not the transparent one u use. It’s the white square one.

The method is to install rfid, run a day or 2 through till to check whether it’s working with the normal windscreen without tint (as most cars already come with a degree of tint level). Then proceed with tint.

Did it at tyre shop, had to force them to use the white one as they worry it cannot pass toll. Then later had to force the tint shop to do tint over the rfid and cut a hole(cause tint uses soap water and they worry it will damage the rfid). Common as Malaysia shops never see how overseas do these.

Anyway, used it around tolls in selangor/ KL and up to karak no problem. Best thing is not worry about outside stone chips and vandals .

The one sticking inside is square white color ones while the one usually u see is the see through long strip that sticks outside.

Thanks. I never noticed there are 2 types of RFID sticker. The one that I recently bought from Lazada I think is the see through type so guess no choice only can stick on the front lamp.

why you DIY yourself? Wouldn't it be better to talk to TnG and get their help? 1st replacement is free. If you damage then most likely they will charge you to replace.

Or unless you really don't want to use RFID anymore?

I comment on TnG fb and they told me i have to buy and replace a new one. So i get a new one and get my existing one terminated, so the problem now is it is really hard to peel it off my headlamp. I don't want risk it with any sticker removal chemical that might make my headlamp blur. sad.gif

GUys just to check ya I went to authorize fitment centre then need a lot of different document.

If I order from Lazada do i still need to submit document or just simple key in touch and go serial number and use the app only.

The trial run for PLUS started today. I were asked to drive a bit slower to enter the RFID lane in Alor Star Selatan toll , but when I about to exit Alor Star Utara RFID Lane, the system failed .ended up i paid cash to exit

The RFID tag needs to be fitted at the upper left windscreen or the left headlamp, 5cm away from metal elements.

Main reason because that is where the sensor is setup to focus on.

If it was positioned elsewhere, the sensor might not be able to detect the tag successfully

Bought my TNG RFID thru lazada and got it activated as per the instruction. However, even it shows activated at mx.touchngo.com.my , I couldnt see my RFID info in TnG Ewallet .

Is this normal ?
