Maybe the question need refining. What if someone use rfid reader to read the sticker, and then replicate the signal. Theoretically we don’t need the physical sticker, just need the code it generates, which could be replicated, just like you need a rfid blocker liner for your wallet to protect your visa paywave signal.

Or just cabut your headlight as a whole, rmb the old times where headlights are easy to remove. Or just break headlight, then just take the rfid piece away.

Either of those ways u could cancel the rfid access to your realer pretty easy. Worse case they able to go though a couple of tolls. Could not use your ewallet direct at 7-11 with that sticker anyhow.

The danger is when your rfid signal is replicated, then you don’t know it was stolen and it could be slowly siphoned off without your knowledge.

I'm pretty sure the signal is encrypted. You can't clone RFID easily. I wouldn't be worried about it.

Or in another way of saying, each rfid tag connects to an e-wallet, when drive through toll, the toll scans your tag, does not tell how much balance is left, just request to deduct from your e-wallet, same goes for visa paywave. if I have a portable scanner to “deduct” from your tag when your car is parked in the mall or in your condo......

Replicate the rfid might be troublesome, but just rfid deduct rm 1 here and there.....many wouldn’t even trouble themselves to get new rfid ( not that it matters, still can steal the next day) more less do polis report.

Again, I won't be to worry about it. You can see all transactions in your e-wallet app.

The scenario that you mentioned is very unlikely. Can it be done? Probably. No system is perfect. Is it worth to do it? I don't think so.
Let's just say you manage to overcome all the technical issues and build your RFID reader to steal RM1 from one car each day. Then, what next? Transfer to your e-wallet? Even if the system allows it, it's just a matter of time before you get caught.

There's NO price. It's still in PILOT phase. If you get the invitation from Touch N' Go, then the whole process will be for FREE.

Thanks.

Pilot testing is within Klang Valley only at the moment, fitment centres are also all in Klang Valley only. Although I heard there are some tolls in the North has got RFID reader installed, you will still need to travel to KV to get your sticker installed at the moment.

AKLEH RFID support is seriously disappointing..

Putting it at the right most lane and the sensor is not detecting until I am within 2m of the barrier.

There is no difference between RFID and smart tag in this case.

Dear testers, please join the RFID group and post your feedback there as it's monitored by TnG themselves.
