Let me try that and get back to you.

With max bitrate set to 16Mbit/s, the total file size of 24 hours recording turns out to be 162.12 GB.

Good review brother. Thanks.
Do you know , is it necessary to have a 4K monitor to view the output from this camera ?
Or once we connect to DVR we can still output to normal monitor ?
Thanks again in advance.

4K monitor is not required, either viewing from the recording directly or from NVR.
For NVR case, there is a setting for you to change output screen resolution, just like a computer.

Coming back to this thread. Question thou regarding hikvision china set...is there a problem using their apple/andriod app to view remotely?
Some china brands require u to register using China HP in order to access their app..just check if this is a problem or non-problem with Hik China cams to use locally?
Looks like 11.11 deals on tmall hikvision are pretty attractive

I am using iVMS-4500 HD Android app to perform live view remotely, no problem as of now.
The iVMS-4500 does not required you to register to use the app.
My cameras are connected through NVR and therefore the live view are from NVR itself.
All you have to do is perform port forwarding on your router, obtain public IP for your internet connection and get a dynamic DNS service.

There is another app call "Hik-connect", this app has registration but I believe is optional. As of now I am able to login to this app with my credential that registered long time ago.

I am not using Hikvision DDNS, using my own router provided DDNS.

Port-forwarding setup is router specific, refer to your router manual to get your answer.
For remote viewing, setup the default port 8000 for forwarding.

Understood about the port forwarding part. So after the port forwarding is done, I can use the IVMS 4500 app and add new device under IP/Domain? Do I need to add in the camera one by one into the iVMS 4500 app or all the cameras will be added together since the IP address to put is the port fowarding one which is the NVR?

Instead of using iVMS 4500 app, can I use the ezviz english app with the China version of ezviz camera?

Looks like you have multiple cameras.

You can:

1. Connect all your cameras to a NVR, then just port forward only the NVR on your router. Add the NVR to iVMS 4500 and you will be able to view all the cameras that connects to the NVR.

2. If you don't have NVR but have more than one cameras, you can use Hik-Connect app, and add multiple cameras to the app without port forwarding.

The thing is, port forwarding can only be done only to one device on one port. Meaning for example you can only perform port forwarding on port 8000 to only one camera or NVR.

Aside from port forwarding, you will need public IP address on your internet connection that connect to your camera. Dynamic DNS service is recommended as most of us has dynamic IP address. With all these 3 items setup and ready, you can add your NVR or camera to iVMS 4500.

I have never tried EZVIZ app before, hence no comment on it. But one thing I am know for Hikvision product, that the Chinese device have high chance will not work in English software and vice versa.

Again, if you don't have a NVR but have more than one cameras, you can opt for "Hik-Connect" app. I have tested the app last time, and able to add your camera into the app and perform remote viewing without have to do port forwarding, public IP, and DDNS. You can add multiple cameras in the app and view them.

Looking at taobao hikvision sales too, but customer service mentioned of the need to use a Chinese app 萤石云 which requires China phone number in order to use it. They said hik connect doesn't work for China version. Since you managed to access it with ivms and hik connect, I can finally relieve and buy it, thanks.
