QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 11 2007, 09:46 AM) That's what you think mate. Most of them were on the take that time. I spoke to a very senior journalist about a year ago and he confirmed it. What we hear of is only the tip of the ice berg.Added on July 11, 2007, 10:52 amIf you know you are going to represent the country in a beauty pageant, what would you do? Slim down, stay healthy, work on your personality and so on lah right? Similarly if you are going to host Asia's biggest tournament, what would you do? Practice and get better lah FFS! It's really embarrassing to host such a widely watched tournament and play like crap, showing the world that you are the lowest grade of all camel fodder. Malaysia should just give MU match go ahead & give up on hosting. At least we can see some decent football & stars.
When the sanction comes, & Malaysia banned from FIFA & AFC saction games, then Malaysia can avoid the embarassment of being a whiping boy. The best is M'sia will have ready made excuse ie. M'sia were banned therefore no chance to compete, if not surely qualified. |

Malaysia is Best team ever ! First Game and home ground get wipped 5-1 actually consider quite good already. We actually not a major power in football. Look at the bright side, we manage to score 1 goal.Thailand can't win over Iraq 1-1. Vietnam win merely 2-0 over UAE. Indonesia also win 2-1 on Bahrain. No disgrace to Malaysia team, they manage to win Over MyTeam no long ago.
GO Malaysia.....next game we reduce losing to 4-0 is good enuf. |

Actually our Football standard have increase already. For Christ sake, China are the runner up champion last tournament. Plus we get nearly full house game for a national team Malaysia over MYteam game. (maybe people expecting Myteam team beat Malaysia). At least that show interest in Malaysia football. 5-1 indeed look like a sad result but in COPA Mexico past Paraguay 6-0, Argentina over Peru 4-0, Brazil over Chile 6-1 and Uruguay over Venezula 4-1. Please don't compare Malaysia team vs China. Like comparing heaven and earth. Scoring 1 goal show Malaysia team have potential.
Remember those day that bribing Malaysia player its as easy as buying counterfeit fake in Petaling Street according to ESPN soccernet journalist. These day i see a lot of Nike outlet promoting Malaysia jersey show there interest in Malaysia football. Plus look at the Pool, Lowyatian have high hope on Malaysia winning Asian Cup. That's the problem mate, we used to draw with teams like China, not get hammered! Now all of a sudden, China are such a dominant force that it's ok to have lost 5-1? It just shows how massive the gulf between the teams are now compared to a couple of decades ago. Forgive me for sounding harsh but it's this kind of mentality that will ensure we never improve. It's ok to lose 5-1 against China? No it isn't. So who are we on par with these days? Singapore? Laos? Cambodia? Philippines? We used to be amongst the top 3 teams in Asia, now we aren't even top 3 in SEA. Malaysia have potential? How's does scoring 1 goal against China show we have potential? Australia once beat Fiji 1000 - 1, but that surely doesn't mean Fiji has potential? It's like I said mate, we can't keep consoling the squad. We have to start being really harsh with them and give them a boot up the ass. The worst thing that can happen is everyone telling our team that it is alright. |

Better ask yourself can you TRUST Malaysia team and show support instead of bashing. I believe those pool reflect Malaysia support over Malaysia team. Please don't turn this tread to a Malaysia bashing team. What make a Reality Show team get a chance to Vs Malaysia team?
BTW this is BolehLand. So Malaysia winning Asian Cup is possible. Dukered, Its FAM problem and malaysian show more interest in EPL than local football. BAN EPL telecast and introduce something like SGpool might inject new interest in football. Bring back those Dunhill sponsor, more money = more commitment. No. Shall we all wait for them outside the stadium to sing Tommy Page's, "When you need a shoulder to cry on"? QUOTE(erni3 @ Jul 11 2007, 12:02 PM) BTW this is BolehLand. Scoring 1 goal show Malaysia team have potential. what?! standard increase..sori geng..i don't agreed. i watch the game last night at the stadium..all i want to do is give support - which Cikgu Jan (Norizan) really want it..then what?! they didn't play up to standard - seriously mcm budak skola.. U cannot compare our 5-1 result to the Copa, even they are loser too but they play well- The level is different and please , this is the reality. We obviously can compare Malaysia to China!! How can u say the standard have increase, c'monlar...Malaysia team lack of control...They cannot control ball...u know what i mean when u watch the repaly back..even one pass pun x bole sampai on target...ape ni wei?! Fauzi Nan didn't mark no 20 Mao Qing - that's the first mistake...2nd - midfield and striker (Shukor Adan, Hardi & Hairuddin) are "ber terabur"..3rd - they should't play long ball and that's why Malaysia can score 1 bijik - because they play low pass ball (mcm arsenal)...4th - why take out Akmal who play well instead of Hairuddin? aiyah Cikgu Jan...kasihan sama supporter Malaysia...u keep blaming the team lack of support..but when we came, this is how u pay us back?! But, i want to congratulate Nantha, Edy Helmi, Akmal and Indra - they play up to expectations. Hardi Jaafar, time warming up je free kick and corner angkat tinggi2, time real game start - weak, low, soft etc...i hate to say this...but i won't come again to watch Malaysia at the stadium...it's sad..really2 sad... |
