Thanks for suggestion but my area doesnt sell pcx anymore, hence paid deposits for vario. Will give a short review when I get my hands on. Was told vario price gonna increase next year is it true?

Luckily tested on the leg room before commit. Legroom just nice as im a short person

Congratulations!! Waiting for the review...

Spark plug for RM 25? Why so expensive? I buy NGK B8ES and DIY install for RM6.50.

It was tough finding for the recommended plug for my 2018 PCX - MR8K-9 and not many shop kept stock of it. Snapped the plug once I found them, the shop replaced it for me.

Many shops said that the RS150's plug will work the same, but a quick call to Boon Siew Honda's hotline say otherwise. Thus, I'm sticking to the recommended plug.

Just a short review for my Vario Red black.Do note that my comparison is with semi manual motor (Ex5) because thats the only motor I ride for long time. Single rider btw. Overall im happy with the purchase and recalled the fun riding a scooter.

1. Leg room just nice for the leg. Hope it can be bigger like old days Suzuki scooters with ample of leg room to put some groceries lol.
2. Since is 150cc, acceleration/takeover is easy.
3. Mostly riding at constant speed (without much vrooming), the riding experience is kinda pleasent for me.
4. As I mentioned before bout the chassis, the size is just nice for me compared to NHX (cos Im short). Almost forgot I can get on my scooter from FRONT legroom compared to lift my leg across the motor seat.
5. This motor is more technological advance than my car with the keyless ignition.
6. Totally forgot scooter can put a helmet underneath the seat.
7. Imho the retail scooter is good enough except wanted to change the rear mirror to the shorter one. Or maybe additional storage box at the back.
8. FC cant comment atm.

Hi everyone, my vario almost 1 year old already in few days. Clocked 9200km

Daily scooter just to go work, never ride to other place/location blush.gif

I joined fb vario group but I really dont understand when they discuss cvt maintenance/service confused.gif

What actually needed to be done? Any motor shop can do or need shop that specialise in scooter?

Maintenance wise so far I only change engine oil twice and gearbox oil once sweat.gif

Also can someone here kind enough to scan or snap pic of the maintenance schedule list from the service book? notworthy.gif I lost mine haha

This is my first bike and none of my friends using scooter, got no one to assist

That's practically what they are saying, changing EO and gearbox/cvt oil. CVT maintenance is basically just change out the oil since "normal" cupchais don't have CVT oil to worry about.

How is the performance of this absorber? Is it comfortable? I found that the rear absorber is quite stiff since my wife always complaint when that her ass always hurt when I ride over a hump or a pothole. I am thinking to change the rear absorber but am not sure whether it will solve this issue or not.

Yes, after I change this I felt very comfortable. If u in KL area I recommend you this shop for RCB dealer https://m.facebook.com/kedaimotosikalkintamantenagacheras/, I think that worth it coz is total RM230 for material and installation.

Already use Honda PCX 2018 version for more than a year and has clocked more than 14,000 km. It uses same engine and gearbox as the Vario.

Yes it is reliable, no problem except slight vibration when it is cold. After warmed up - no complaint. Max speed is 113 km/h, mod will cost a lot and to me not worth it.

Maintenance is cheap, first at 1,000 km and thereafter at 6,000 km and every 6,000 km after that. At 12,000 km, the spark plug was changed, costed about RM25.

At normal service, only engine oil was changed. I use Honda Jaso MB oil, costs about RM20 including labour. Thus far, I spent a total less than RM200 for maintenance.

If you ride at 90 km/h max, fuel reading is at 49 km/litre while if you speed constantly at 110 km/h, fuel consumption dropped below 40 km/litre.
*
Do you did your maintenance in 6000km interval? And there is no problem to the engine whatsoever so far?

I find it to be quite strange because I have always been told that motorcycle/scooter need to be serviced once in 1000km. But, in the manual book, it is stated to service in 6000km interval.
