Refund of Overpayment on Maybank Card Account [ Maybank ]
24 MAY 2019

Dear Valued Cardmembers,

Effective 19 June 2019, we will no longer process requests for refund of any overpayment on an active Card which appears as a credit in your Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s). In the event your Card account has an overpayment at any given time, the overpayment would be used to offset any subsequent outstanding balance of that Card.

For cancellation of Maybank Credit or Charge Card(s) with an overpayment, the Bank shall proceed to transfer the overpaid amount through the following options:

- Transfer to your other valid Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s);
- Transfer to your Maybank Savings or Current Account(s), excluding Joint Account and MAE Account;
- You may opt to sign-up for a new Maybank Card or Maybank Savings or Current Account and transfer the overpaid amount to the respective account; or
- In the event you do not have any other valid Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s) or Maybank Savings or Current Account(s), please do advise us on the Savings or Current Account details of another bank that you wish to transfer the overpaid amount to.

at first, no cb for fpx and jompay. but still arguable with mbb to get cb.

later mbb exclude it inside t&c.

because...

1) ppl are confused with the announcement
2) ppl are confused of what "utilities" represent

boost cannot pay tnb. unifi astro can be paid by boost but also by amex too.

alternatively, get uob yolo, pay all your bills via jompay, up to rm50 cashback with rm625 spending. just enough to cover your bills. the balance use your amex or amex-boost.

or online cb cards -> bigpay and pay the bills like tnb. no issue too.


or keep your pbb quantum mastercard. reload to bigpay. then pay your tnb.

iwk cannot use cc. but iwk and pba can be paid using boost (iwk by scanning the qr code, pba from within boost app) -- so topup your boost app using quantum mastercard or m2c amex (if still left quota)

maximizing cashback = reload all to boost app and grappay app. definitely max out the cashback.

maximize the spending, that's another story altogether.

we dont know WHAT you want to pay using amex, HOW MUCH is your spending using amex, WHERE you usually spend with amex.

your question is too general and only applies to you specifically. different people has different spending behavior and arrangement.

does it fall under Electric, Gas, Sanitary and Water Utilities ?

Kindly be informed that our Maybank Card Centres at One Utama and The Gardens Mall will be closed early at 6.00pm on the eve of Hari Raya i.e 4th June 2019 and one (1) day closure on the 1st day of Hari Raya i.e 5th June 2019.
