https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...e-m2c-amex.page saw this for the premier cards, not sure when will the ones for gold be affected too
*
no need worry until Maybank announce it for M2C (not that we can influence their decision immediate anyway)

last they revised the points earning in 2019 with 5X TP on weekdays (from daily).

at most, they revise 2X for weekdays, but that's lesser impact to most of us who are chasing weekend cashbacks. it'd be more impact to those chasing TPs for airmiles conversion.

How do we know which transaction paid on Sat/Sun that earned 5% cash rebate? I look at monthly statement only show total amount. Not itemised.
*
all except exclusion (read the cashback T&C from maybank website)

can share which card/bank that shows itemized cashback in the monthly statement?

Hong Leong Bank will actually show for every transaction which MCC does this belong to in monthly statement bill, and it's super easy to track cashback and mcc
*
tagging yes, but not actual count of cb biggrin.gif thumbsup.gif

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 24 2023, 03:56 PM)
HLB WISE shows every transaction what category it falls under, and cashback also shows total cashback per category rather than lump sum. I like.
*
yes tagging only, and total of cb per category. still no itemized cb per transaction- thumbup.gif

wise's category round is good as it rounds up to nearest RM1, effectively reducing actual total category spending too.

I don't think cashback is ever counted as itemized anyway in backend. Very inefficient to do that way. Sum amount and then apply cashback percentage (with some rounding rules) is faster/better.
*
yes agreed for backend design and operations

but not what most ppl expecting as they dont count cb like us biggrin.gif and expecting bank to tell them explicitly which txn eligible for cb and what amount granted sweat.gif

I did not activate the VISA card too (this is renewal card after old card expired). Initially it shows pending activation. After about 3-4 months, the card activate itself. And it’s now charging me the SST. Does this happen to anyone here? Will Maybank activate the card themselves if I do not activate it after a certain period ?

*

7th n 8th October (Sat n Sun) respectively. Posting same as transactions date. Forgotten if it was swipe /wave but it doesnt matter, or does it?

*
shouldnt be any issue, irrespective to posting date and payment method.

this is Oct spending, you should've quickly escalate to mbb to investigate. there is certain grace period for filing dispute.

johorpay any CB (weekend) or point (weekday)?

p.s: not able to use search topic today....error.
*
1) think logically. does it sound like a government service?

2) does government service payment eligible for CB? again, no need search lowyat forum. go find & read from maybank website.

3) to be sure, find out the mcc used by johorpay gateway.

maybank updated their m2c cashback t&c yesterday.... seems to have some major changes of benefits (mostly better!) biggrin.gif

TBC until mbb issue an official announcement*:

1) Removed Payment via JomPAY and FPX from exclusions
2) Removed govt spend & utilities exclusion table
3) Removed ewallet exclusion clause

4) Added transaction date difference due to timezone into exclusions
5) Explanation of min RM1.00 cb earning

*Assuming min 21 days notification, likely these changes will take effect from Feb 2024.

p/s: Not sure if this copy will be final or WIP prior to announcement/effective date.
