I was thinking about this as well biggrin.gif

The presenter make this estimate coz he assuming the family live in 1k sq ft condo that is worth around RM 1 mil.

The cars he say more reasonable to assume one "nice" car and 1 "lowyat" car

if u are 40-45

2 young kids and a million ringgit home, 2 normal cars

also cant maintain a 15-20k expense bill a month.

better rethink your decisions you made so far.

I think they messed up on the cars and house part.

Better live in a Rm400k condo, mortgage is only Rm1.7k per month. Drive axia and honda city good enough.

Hah? Bought groceries but cost of eating still 1.5k.
If you don't cook better don't spend 400 on groceries.

My parents spend nearly 1k on food per month and that's it. My wife & I usually cook for dinner so our costs are quite low

My 2 Cents:
- Housing Loan RM 4000 p/m: I'd assume this comes with the MRTA? Since there is only RM 600 worth of Basic Term Life and Med Card for 4 pax?
- Food RM 1,500 p/m: This should be more if not cooking, else Groceries should increase. 4 pax, each adult RM500, kids RM 250?
- Insurance RM 600 p/m (Basic Term Life and Medical Card): What's the coverage? if no MRTA how to re-pay RM 4000 Housing loan if the bread-winner is no longer around?

- Grocercies RM 400 p/m: Should be more if cooking for 4 pax.
- Transportation RM 400 p/m (Petrol and toll): This is for 2 cars? My own car alone is already RM 500+ a month sweat.gif Unless work and nursery is a stone throw away, else this should be more.

Family of 4 bros.. safety and good living condition is high up the priority list...
Civic only.. not to say bmw or merc.

If both parents are working, 11k a month is achievable..

If u simply say like that, they won't care one. Even if they buy from u, later will relapse also. Usually works better among Chinese, or other races from middle to upper class.

If u find low income earners, high chance they relapse payment.

I cannot sell my MyVi as my sister who's studying in university wants to use it for her final year project. Need to sacrifice a bit as a sister.
Phone bill only RM30 per month for celcom. My house already has wifi and it's free (included in rent already).
Cosmetics only costs around RM200. I only shop for clothes when necessary and most of the time I bought online. Not too picky with brands as long as the clothes and shoes are nice and pretty. Plus my boyfriend always gives me gifts so I cannot have new clothes anymore in my closet
