i don't think it takes a lot of distance to test it up to 180km/h..
test driven a 4-door stock b16b w/ type-r exhaust before.. short short a distance it went above 170km/h already..

but don't do it when there's a lot of traffic la.. careful also smile.gif

eheh.. except mebbe the rear window. leave it transparent n the rear wiper.

it does good u konw especially during down pour of rain..
*
rear dark window doesn't really affect your vision during downpour or at night.. it's clear from the inside actually.. that's the case for my car la..

ehh.. but with the help of the wiper, i find it better.
well firstly.. i like the dark tinting as well.. but now got a tinting crack down by the gov. mebbe i wont do it.

but the thing abt dark tinting. u cant see thru the car to the other area u wanna go like to cut the car or some sort.
PLUS when u wanna reverse at nite when no visible light.

dark tint really troubles the vision.

eh.. speaking of which.. any pics of ur ride? whistling.gif

i cant remove the tint cos its not tinting. will they issue me JPJ letter n go for inspection?

OH BTW.. other den thinking of gettint the ori ek9 rear window

i was thinkin of putting lumar security tint.

those tint are freaking THICK + JPJ APPROVE.

nto sure u heard of llumar security tint or not... but.. from wat i see.. those tints are really tough.

Since there isn't any tint to remove, it is very likely you'll be issued with a summon or inspection notice or most probably both as well.

It's LLumar isn't it? laugh.gif
But yes, I've heard of them.

edit: i went downstairs to inspect my car.. lol, it's clear glass but tinted laugh.gif hopefully the demister doesn't rips off when i re-tint the car next time sweat.gif

LLumar is tough dude...its a good film u know...but it comes with a pricey tag too...sigh...

and yeah, rsm do invite unwanted guest...but some cars i saw put it in the air cond vent on top of the dashboard, some sort like a hinge so that u can bring it up and down and close it with the vent once u dont use it..kewl huh..?

ek9 rear window is smoke, and i do believe they will request it to be change after the summon...cant run away from this tint issue, even my car was 90% at the back...hehe

EK-9 original is dark glass rear side and rear. Eventhough it's not tinted, JPJ can disturb if they really want.

Moon, why u worry about it? U should worry about what your car has now. CF hoodddd...
And what is front right passenger? U mean front left or rear right?

When is TT guys? Plan early ler. Wanna go Genting also can.

lol.. really no cf hood wo..

i tink the only way to by pass a road block with CF hood at nite is to paint ur car black.. so that they cant really notice the difference in color..
else i buy the cf hood n spray it white.

all along it is illegal la bro.. especially when it comes to hood, trunk, doors and fenders unless you spray them body-colour so that they don't notice it (if you want CF more for lightweight than stylo-mylo).. stated on jpj's website on the type of material for the bodyparts hmm.gif

for CF front lips like those on a subaru s203, then it should be okay since the main bodypanels are not affected.

CF is rather reflective up close, so it's quite impossible for the officers not to flag you down.. plus, i've come across a jpj roadblock during daylight before la.. which i made a u-turn for it laugh.gif (that time my city got dark tints)

Yea, just spray the CF hood lah. No need to show as long as you feel your car is lighter on the front. biggrin.gif

About the meters, mine is ori EG6 cluster so at 110km/h is 4k+ rpm. I think is correct as I can feel the engine kinda high revved.

High rev? That's only half of your 8k redline . dry.gif yawn.gif
But 4k for 110km/h... if you get rid of the speedcut, will this speed-rpm ratio change as well?? unsure.gif

err.. removing the speedcut (as in, the speed-limit) has nothing to do with the speed-rpm ratio, isn't it? sweat.gif wouldn't your gear-ratios play that role instead?

I think my gearbox is Y21. Though the label on the gearbox is gone already, so I'm just guessing. Final drive should be 4.4
