lol.. ehm..

modding, tuning without any idea or guidance.. engine BOOM -----> very costly laugh.gif
*
thats why its important to discuss before u start modding. sometimes engine didnt boom but u feel so much $ spent but car still go slow...haha biggrin.gif

the drawback of using PCT (type r piston) on b16a heads is knocking (premature combustion)..BUT of course it can be counter using E manage and such...all in all TUNING is the key....
*
yup, need to tune the inigtion map. either retard or advance it. sometimes its better to tune on road rather than dyno cos u will get the actual engine performance.

if i'm going to tune my heavily modded b16a later...i don't want to use those aftermarket ECU or such...just remap the stock ECU...and then no need to hide those aftermarket ones..hehe brows.gif
*
remap the stock ecu not be enough, need to customise for each set up. best would be hondata.

wats the draw back of a full lock LSD and a normal 1?

too shaky ah?
*
when making slow turn, the shaft will vibrate and tuk tuk tuk sound like almost broken. the dash board sometimes also vibrate after getting loose. full lock only mean for track use.
normal eg LSD is 1-way. which is good for normal driving.

for those B16A owner wish to have LSD better get from Oly quick....eg LSD is very rare and the price is good. FYI, EK9 or DC2 LSD wont fit into B16A gear box even though the final drive is the same = 4.4.

Zomg that was moon that posted under my account.

Anyway thanks for the explanation, i am experiencing that tuk tuk tuk sound now, most probably from my gearbox since my mech says my lsd gona kong. So i was hoping to change to full lock since i have had a taste of the stock typeR lsd.
*
what is ur GB model? if Y21, then u been using eg lsd not type R one, if u want to use type R, u need to change the final drive as well. mostly full lock lsd such as kaaz made for y80 & s80 which have different FD mounting.

ohh alright. I am using itr gearbox with itr final drive.

That 170whp b16a is seriously sick.
*
ic, u used ek9 or dc2 GB? type R LSD still cant satisfy u?? u better go for 1.5 way rather than full lock tongue.gif

thats with B18C block stroke up to 2 litre biggrin.gif

i tink its a semi slick.

usually RE series come direct from japan. RE-070 not sure if considered semi slick or not? the pattern a bit weird.

if u like grip, i'm sure you will like R888. It semi slick but still street legal in australia. its still ok to drive in the rain compare to others semi slick.

both tires are different category, one is ultra high performance tires, another one is semi slick. sure the r888 will win hands down on dry, and totally lose out on wet.

it is more accurate to compare Ad07 with Toyo proxes T1R. tongue.gif I just bought the Proxes, they are much lighter tires comparing to other brand with same profile.
