MIVEC vs I-VTEC. u decide....

In terms of power, the Civic and Lancer are the same at 155ps. What i'm worry for FD is that the new Lancer has an extra advantage which is their INVECS III CVT gearbox. I'm drivng a Jazz and i know what is the CVT advantage has over the conventional 5-speed auto with torque converter.

If I can bring out the Type-R and Hybrid car, I sure not free to entertain you at all.

Even if they're going for it also no use loh, coz it's limited production unit.

Yeah I went for the media launch yesterday. The new Lancer looks good on paper to compete with Civic, especially with their pricing. Here's what I remember...

-MIVEC 2.0 DOHC 155ps
-INVEC CVT (Tiptronic gear)
-RISE Chasis
-4 Independent suspension
-18" alloy rims
-Carbon fiber on the dashboard

What else?? Hmm, the car looks nice from certain angle, but the rear still look bad to me. Oh it comes with spoiler I guess.

CKD = locally assemble
CBU = fully imported

Anyway, this car launch is not as grand as the one I saw last year, the new Civic FD launch. That one really is a bang, and by far the best car launch I'd attended.

2.0 IVTEC also roughly around that price ma?

the FD1 2.0 is about rm10k more

Civic 2.0 (RM125k) - 155ps and 188Nm, 5-speed conventional auto + paddleshift
Lancer 2.0 (RM115k) - 155ps and 199Nm, INVECS III CVT + shiftronic

Civic owners need to be alert.
