Redmi Note 3 - almost 3 years usage
Redmi3s- Half a month Redmi Note 4- almost 2 years. Redmi Pocophone- currently, should be able to last me for the next 2-3 years. Best well priced phone. I've rooted and flashed it to Xiaomi.eu firmware, eversince I've started using redmi note 3. the best firmware and lightweight without all those extra Google apps and bloatwares. Kernel wise, just today tried to flash this so called Sphinx, but felt like my games were slightly underperforming during high graphics. flashed back to stock kernel. My suggestion, is to get the xiaomi.eu firmware MIUI 10, you guys wont regret it at all. Been using it for very long ever since Redmi Note 3. |

QUOTE(JungWoo @ Nov 10 2018, 11:40 AM) Do u face issue with gps? Im really having hard time finding gps with waze. Guess what u pay is what u get I suggest you to flash Xiaomi.Eu firmware onto it. Less bloatware and faster locking. Been using this firmware for all of my previous xiaomi phones. The best custom rom to date. But if you mean like switching GPS apps like waze to another app and then returning back to waze while on the background, yes it does loses it locking capabilities and might take a few mins to relock back. I'm facing this as well, but it depends on your network, area and gps. Usually I'll just force quit it and relaunch it back. Waze will ask are you still going to that previous destination and just click yes. |

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Nov 11 2018, 02:10 PM) Good support from the dev team. This is my first time owning a phone with a good dev team and quick on rectifying users request and issues. You won't get this kind of support if you were on a Samsung. Hopefully the others will start catching on to this sort of attitude and mentality that phone users wants the after sales support in terms of their rom stability and functions. |

Best price already for 64gb...not even retailers can fight with that price with imported set.

QUOTE(EBBattlefield @ Nov 13 2018, 11:02 PM) 10.0.0.4.0 so, where is the option hiding you? I've got through the usual suspects (display and battery....havent found it yet) or as for the cable, really looking for spares and to keep one at office and one at home. Currently, my only option is the original cable. I've heard of bad/fake TypeC cables frying stuff, so I'm not so confident with just getting any generic branded TypeC |

QUOTE(freakenstein @ Nov 15 2018, 12:06 AM) Yes,definitely, if you're okay with unlocking bootloaders, I would suggest you to even try out the Xiaomi.eu firmwares, even better and less bloatware.QUOTE(gsonyeah @ Nov 15 2018, 01:39 AM) Guys, I bought two units from Qoo10, 6GB/128GB MY Set. One is working, the other one stuck at reboot, cannot on. I have texted the seller, waiting for his reply. Can you boot into fastboot? if you can fastboot it, can be solved through by flashing over a firmware on it. If you're not sure, better leave it to the seller.Need your advice, usually for case like this, should I refer to Xiaomi Malaysia or the seller? |

There is no such thing as a perfect phone, you just have to live with it. Or better yet, read more reviews and forum opinions regarding about the phone.
True enough, this phone might not have what I expected like infrared capabilities and multi color notification led lights, rounded edges at the bottom of the screen when I'm playing games in landscape mode. Coming from redmi note 4 which I still like until today, but sometimes, there are things which in we have to compromise, or if you want to pay a premium, go for iPhone instead. |

QUOTE(zeekz @ Nov 22 2018, 09:20 PM) Basically a kid used the phone, set up her own mi account, associated the phone with the account and then completely forgot everything about the account. Locked out of the phone now, there's no way to bypass the "THIS DEVICE IS LOCKED" message as I don't know the mi account password. Really need help! You bought used phone? Or new one?EDIT:Perhaps you could try to reset the account password, provided you know the number or email she used it to register. https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/forgetPassw...true&_locale=en This post has been edited by Omochao: Nov 22 2018, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE(zeekz @ Nov 22 2018, 09:28 PM) Used, yes. Nope absolutely no idea about the email/number/any other details. This is such a shitty situation no choice, you gotta ask the previous person to provide you the mobie number she used to register for the mi account. She probably forgotten to log out of it before selling you the device. What was the last number mobile number she used, that your last try. Try asking her first again and try if the number works or not. Thats one of the way for reset the password. This post has been edited by Omochao: Nov 22 2018, 09:34 PM |

QUOTE(rikimtasu @ Nov 26 2018, 09:04 AM) I would say that Android pie is the real usable very of pocophone now not current 8.1 miui 10 stable. Shane that the fix is locked behind close beta now It will come soon. give it some time. The community development is strong for this phone. With a budget pricing for a flagship SoC, the specs are more worthwhile than the tradeoffs setting usability wise. |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 27 2018, 02:59 PM) Just did a clean flash for this. Everything is up and running smoothly, battery wise should be the same as stable EU. Games are all running flawlessly. Can't seem to notice any touch lag yet, will try out the PUBG later on.Btw, can you test out UC Browser on your phone? Ever since after updating to pie, UC browser cannot load any webpages at all, all other browsers are working fine except UC. I suspect is either the Android Pie or the firmware itself. |
